THE FUTURE BEGINS TODAY: REV. ERNEST ODOGBA TAKES THE MESSAGE OF CHRIST TO ADVOCATE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL
What kind of adults will today’s children become tomorrow? According to Rev. Ernest Odoba, the answer lies largely in the choices they make today and the foundation upon which their lives are built.
During a visit to Advocate International School today, Rev. Odogba challenged the students to take their character, spiritual lives, and future ambitions seriously.
He urged them to reject destructive habits such as drug abuse, internet scams, disobedience, and stubbornness, warning that seemingly small decisions made during their formative years could have lasting consequences.
He encouraged the students to choose Christ, feed their minds with the Word of God rather than harmful online content, develop a lifestyle of prayer, and cultivate discipline, obedience, and godly character.
The message went beyond words. Rev. Odogba offered the students an opportunity to give their lives to Jesus Christ and subsequently led prayers for their parents, the school, its proprietor, and Covenant Life Church.
He also extended an invitation to the students to attend the International Gathering of Conquerors (IGC), a 72-hour marathon prayer programme taking place from October 28 to 30, 2026.
The visit underscores an important truth: children need more than academic knowledge. They need guidance, positive role models, spiritual direction, and people who genuinely care about the adults they will become.
When parents, educators, and spiritual leaders work together to establish the right foundation, they help prepare a generation capable of making responsible choices and contributing positively to society.
A faulty foundation can endanger the future, but a sound foundation can help shape a generation of responsible leaders.
The investment we make in our children today may become one of the greatest contributions we make to the future.
