IF THOU CANST BELIEVE

GOD’S MOUTHPIECE

“IF THOU CANST BELIEVE…..”
Dr Ernest Odogba

“Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth” (Mark 9.23)

Recently I was asking the Lord why some Christians receive miracles while others do not, some get healed and others don’t….., God spoke to me that the reason for that situation is because of the unbelief on the part of those who do not receive their miracles. He told me that is why I am a preacher, called to preach faith to the people so that they can receive their miracles. Faith comes by continuous hearing the word of God (Romans 10.17) Faith is the force that activates the power of the Holy Spirit. A lady recently narrated a relevant story to me. She has heard of my ministry and decided to come to our meetings. She was suffering from a life threatening cancer. She continued to come to our meetings believing that she would be healed. During one of the services, she was healed by the power of God. Her faith made her whole. Some don’t have that kind of faith to get healed, they want to see before they believe. Some even believe until they have a one on one experience with the man of God they, wont get healed. These people don’t know about the dynamics of faith. Faith can’t be denied.

An HIV infected couple once came to our church believing God for a healing. On hearing the word of God, the man got home, sold some of his electronics and used the money to sow seed of faith in the church. His wife confronted him for his decision, she was very angry with him for what he did. Later on they went for medical test where the man was tested negative but the HIV infection remained on the wife. She eventually died of the virus. What happened was that the man got healed through his faith while the wife disconnected herself from faith and was not healed.

Faith must be expressed. Without a corresponding action faith is passive. A lot of prayers are unanswered because faith is not expressed. Sometime back, I prayed for two barren women. Weeks later one of them conceived while the other did not. I was curious so I called the two women one day. On inquiry, the woman who conceived told me that after I prayed for them, she went to the market and bought some new baby clothings and materials in readiness for a baby. The other woman did not do that. She did not express her faith hence she was sidelined. Nothing is impossible for those that believe.
