WORDS OF WISDOM FROM ERNEST ODOGBA
Inspiration word of wisdom from Ernest Odogba
"Embrace change, for it is the only constant in life. Adapting to new circumstances opens doors to growth and unexpected opportunities."
Happiness is a choice - "Happiness is a choice. For every minute you are angry, you lose 60 seconds of your own happiness."
Cultivate a positive mindset - "Replace every negative thought with a positive one. A positive mind is stronger than a negative thought."
Embrace change and take risks - "A mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to what it was."
"Take risks and be bold. At the end, we regret only the chances we didn't take."
Stay determined and committed - "Determination" and "Commitment" are highlighted as essential for achieving greatness.
"Today's wisdom: Embrace each moment with gratitude and purpose, for the small steps you take today can lead to the greatest journeys."
"True relaxation comes not from escaping your life, but from finding peace within it. Embrace stillness and let go of what you cannot control."
"Speaking to someone who doesn’t listen is like talking to an empty room; but with a true listener, every word finds a home, and conversation becomes a shared joy."
"If you spend too much time speaking to those who aren't interested, you diminish your own value. Save your words for those who appreciate your voice and honor your presence."
"Silence often speaks louder than words. When you choose silence, your value and wisdom grow, commanding respect and reflection."
Silence often speaks louder than words. Choosing silence can enhance your value and wisdom, commanding respect and prompting reflection from others. Overly frequent chatting or calling can sometimes diminish your honor and respect, especially with those who have limited time to communicate.

The Illusion of Busyness and the Reality of Idleness
- Ernest Odogba
In our modern lives, it often feels like we're constantly busy. However, much of this busyness is an illusion, masking a deeper idleness. True productivity is not about filling our days with activities, but about engaging in tasks that align with our life's purpose.
- Ernest Odogba
When we fill our time with activities that don’t contribute to our ultimate goals, we are essentially idle. This form of idleness can be deceptive because it feels like we are accomplishing something, but in reality, we are merely spinning our wheels without making meaningful progress.
- Ernest Odogba
Even during moments of fun and leisure, there's often an opportunity to make strides toward our dreams. The challenge is recognizing these moments and seizing them. When we lack the opportunity to engage in ventures aligned with our vision, we tend to drift into activities that don’t count towards our purpose.
- Ernest Odogba
To break free from this cycle of idle busyness, we need to be intentional with our time. We must evaluate our daily actions and ensure they are contributing to our broader goals. This means prioritizing tasks that matter and letting go of those that don’t.
- Ernest Odogba
By aligning our activities with our purpose, we transform idle time into productive moments, even during rest and relaxation. This intentional approach ensures that every moment counts, propelling us closer to our dreams and fulfilling our true purpose in life.
This deceptive idleness occurs when we engage in tasks that give the appearance of productivity but don’t align with our core objectives or purpose. It’s easy to become absorbed in the busyness of everyday life, yet these activities can divert our focus from what truly matters.
- Ernest Odogba
I have so much to give to my world. Time and opportunities may sometimes hold me back, but I firmly believe that I will prevail. I am determined to finish the task God has given me with joy and fulfillment. Despite the challenges, I remain steadfast in my mission to make a meaningful impact, trusting that with perseverance and faith, I will complete my God-given purpose.
- Ernest Odogba
My life will be very miserable if all I have to show is how many cars I have, how many houses I build, how much money I made or have, and how many children I have. They are good but that will be very miserable. What will give me joy and fulfillment is what I do for the Kingdom’s sake. The larger the number of people I influence, the millions of people I can touch, bringing salvation, healing, and deliverance to empower them to become happy in life, that is my joy. That is my happiness. I want you to pray for me so that this dream will come to pass. Nothing counts as happiness if not for this. I need your prayer.
- Ernest Odogba
You may have children, a good husband or wife, money, a good job, houses, cars, and property, yet still be very poor in the Kingdom of God. The most important and valuable thing in life is the people God uses you to bless and influence for the Kingdom's sake. That is what you will be rewarded for. That is your true joy, and it should be your mission.
- Ernest Odogba
'A Call to Die Empty and Fulfill Your Purpose
I am determined to die empty, to poured out everything God has deposited within me for this generation. I realize that I have not yet exhausted even 10% of what l am capable of delivering. The burden to be a blessing and a deliverer to the world weighs heavily on my heart, and I am still brimming with potential and purpose.
I need open doors and opportunities to share the wealth of knowledge, skills, and spiritual gifts that I possess. My focus is not on what I have already achieved but on what lies ahead in fulfilling God's kingdom purposes. There is so much more to give, to do, and to accomplish for the glory of God.
My prayer is for divine connections, favor, and the right platforms to effectively reach and impact lives. I seek God's guidance and strength to maximize every opportunity and to stay committed to the vision He has placed in my heart.
I am driven by the desire to leave a legacy that honors God and transforms lives.
Every day is a chance to move closer to that goal, ensuring that when my time comes, I will have emptied myself of every gift, every talent, and every ounce of potential.
May God grant me the wisdom, courage, and perseverance to continue this journey, to see His will fulfilled in my life, and to make a lasting difference in this world. My eyes are fixed on the future, eager to see how God will use me to advance His kingdom and bring hope to those in need.

LESSON FROM THOMAS EDISON
In 1896, Thomas Edison, the great inventor of the electric bulb, was working on a car design when he learned that a young man in his company had created an experimental car. Edison met this young man, Henry Ford, at a company party in New York and was thoroughly impressed by his gasoline-powered car idea. Edison, who had been considering electricity as a power source, enthusiastically encouraged Ford, saying, "Young man, that's the thing! You have it! I think you are on to something! I encourage you to continue your pursuits!"
Encouraged by the respected inventor, Henry Ford continued his work, eventually inventing a car that made him wealthy.
On December 9, 1914, Edison's laboratory and factory were destroyed by fire. At 67 years old, the damage was too extensive for insurance to cover. Before the ashes were cold, Henry Ford handed Edison a check for $750,000 with a note saying Edison could have more if needed.
In 1916, Ford relocated his home next to Edison's. When Edison was later confined to a wheelchair, Ford also got a wheelchair so they could race each other.
Thomas Edison made Henry Ford believe in himself, creating a friendship for life.
LESSON:
Don't ever be jealous of others' success. If you can't win a race, help the person in front of you break the record. Your candle doesn't lose its light by lighting another. Let us follow this example of supporting and uplifting each other!

The Importance of Midnight Prayer: A Biblical Perspective
Midnight prayer holds a significant place in spiritual warfare and claiming God’s promises. In the Bible, we find several instances where prayer during the night leads to profound breakthroughs:
1. Deliverance and Breakthrough: In Acts 16:25-26, Paul and Silas prayed and sang hymns to God at midnight while imprisoned, and a miraculous earthquake freed them. This teaches us that midnight prayers can lead to deliverance and divine intervention.
2. Strategic Warfare: Psalm 119:62 says, “At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of thy righteous judgments.” Midnight is a strategic time for spiritual warfare, aligning with the change of day and representing a transition where battles can be fought and won in the spiritual realm.
3. Possessing Your Blessings: In Genesis 32:24-26, Jacob wrestled with an angel through the night until he received his blessing. This persistence shows that night prayers can be crucial in contending for and possessing your blessings.
4. Breaking Chains: Midnight prayers symbolize breaking free from chains and spiritual bondage, as seen in the story of Peter in Acts 12:5-7, where he was freed from prison following fervent prayer by the church.
5. Confronting Darkness: Midnight represents a time when evil is most active. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us that we “wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Praying at midnight helps confront and overcome these forces of darkness.

BUWAYA AND KARATUDU CRUSADE
ERNEST ODOGBA MIRACLE CRUSADE AT BUWAYA AND KARATUDU
A Word from Pastor Ernest Odogba
Life is full of challenges. The devil attacks people, and our lack of knowledge often leads to mistakes, sicknesses, and problems. In all of this, it’s evident that life isn’t fair to everyone. What should we do? God knows everything about our lives and knows how to fix us. He has a better plan for us, and all He wants is for us to serve Him. Our problems and attacks should draw us closer to God. If you give more time to yourself without dedicating your life to God, you’ve wasted your life. A life without service to God is a distraction. If you fail to attend church regularly but always prioritize your business or football games, it means God is not your preferred priority—you are not worshipping God. Seek God first and follow Him; that is the key to unlocking healing and success in life.
We often wonder how Rev. Dr. Ernest Odogba can touch or tap someone, and years of deafness, blindness, cancer, difficulty in walking, or the spirit of drunkenness are instantly healed. We later discovered that he is mighty in the Word and prayer. The recently concluded Buwaya and Karatudu crusade in Kaduna was eye-opening for many who hadn’t seen him in action, healing people by simply touching them. During the crusade, he shared that as a young boy, he saw a vision of Jesus in his village, commissioning him to preach, heal, deliver the oppressed, set captives free, and heal the sick.
In the recent Buwaya/Karatudu crusade, when people witnessed the healing grace, they surrounded him, pulling at his legs and clothes, begging for healing. Out of great compassion, he prayed for hundreds of sick people. He performed his usual miracle Bonanza, where the first 15 people to run through the gate at the count of five received their healing. To everyone’s amazement, more than twenty people ran through the gate and were healed. A lady was healed of deafness in one ear that had lasted over ten years; another had a breast lump disappear, and others with poor eyesight shouted, “I can see, I can see!” People with arthritis and leg problems were also healed. It was indeed a Bonanza. God is faithful. The man of God told us that anything used as a point of contact, if believed, would produce miracles.

ROMI MIRACLE CRUSADE
ROMI CRUSADE REPORT
ERNEST ODOGBA CRUSADE IN ROMI: A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE
We just concluded a crusade like no other. I’ve witnessed many miracles in my meetings, but this time, a well-known person with a hunched back was miraculously healed, drawing a lot of attention. While people also saw breast lumps disappear, growths vanish, the blind regain sight, the deaf hear, and those with difficulty walking healed, the focus remained on the disappearance of the hunched back. Over 150 sick people from the area attended our Faith Clinic on Wednesday seeking healing. People speculated something unusual was happening at the church when they saw attendees arriving as early as 6 a.m.
MIRACLE GALORE
HUNCHBACK HEALED
The most striking miracle was a teenage girl with a hunched back. Born with this condition, she had endured pain every day of her life. She arrived at the crusade in Romi, Kaduna, with great faith, believing that God would change her story. Known in her community for her deformity, she was often ridiculed. To everyone’s amazement, after Rev. Dr. Ernest Odogba prayed, she fell under the anointing. When she stood up, her hunched back had vanished. Overwhelmed with joy, she jumped, shouted, and praised God. Her mother, friends, and neighbors joined her celebration. This miracle captivated everyone, including the bishops, reverends, pastors, evangelists, and crusade workers, who joined in celebrating God’s loving kindness.
This miracle inspired many to ask for the address of Covenant Life Church, Angwan Sunday, Sabo Kaduna, promising to attend the usual Wednesday Faith Clinic for their own healings and blessings from Rev. Dr. Ernest Odogba.
KIDNEY PROBLEM HEALED
A lady with kidney issues arrived at the crusade ground. She had been to many hospitals without a solution and had lost hope. To her surprise, after Rev. Dr. Ernest Odogba prayed for her, all symptoms disappeared. She and her family, present at the crusade, wept for joy, thanking God for sparing her further medical expenses.
PARALYSIS HEALED
A teenage girl who could not walk was brought by her brother. Rev. Dr. Ernest Odogba introduced a “Bonanza Healing” method, encouraging sick people to run through a gate to receive healing. The girl’s brother carried her and ran through the gate. After the man of God prayed, the girl was miraculously healed and began walking on her own. Both her brother and others who witnessed this praised God for the miracle.
BREAST LUMPS HEALED
A woman with long-standing breast lumps attended the crusade. After Rev. Dr. Ernest Odogba prayed for her, she touched her breast and found the lumps and pain were gone. She joyfully testified of her healing, with many rejoicing with her.
ARTHRITIS HEALED
A man suffering from arthritis for many years, enduring severe pain and sleepless nights, joined the prayer line. After Rev. Dr. Ernest Odogba prayed, he threw away his crutches and walked unassisted. He was filled with joy and praised God for his healing.
BLINDNESS HEALED
A man blind for many years was brought by his wife. After Rev. Dr. Ernest Odogba touched his eyes and prayed, the man shouted that he could see. He recognized his wife and others at the crusade, and those who knew him celebrated and praised God with him. He later testified of his healing.
LEGS AND BACK PAINS HEALED
An elderly woman over fifty, suffering from leg and back pain for years, received healing after Rev. Dr. Ernest Odogba prayed for her. Instantly, she could walk straight and was seen running around, showing her healing to others. Her recovery prompted a great celebration at the crusade ground. She testified to God’s glory in her life.
GENERAL DELIVERANCE
Deliverance was a powerful part of the crusade. Rev. Dr. Ernest Odogba prayed and cast out demons and evil spirits. The power of God moved mightily, causing many people to fall under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Demons manifested, speaking out through those afflicted. Rev. Dr. Ernest Odogba patiently and anointedly prayed for all who were delivered, glorifying God for His blessings and power throughout the three-day crusade.
ROMI MIRACLE CRUSADE (REVIEW)
The Romi Miracle Crusade, organized and led by Rev. Dr. Ernest Odogba in collaboration with other pastors, started on Friday, January 26th, and ended on Sunday, January 27th, 2024. Held at an open field opposite Saint Anthony Catholic Church, Sule Romi, Kaduna, the crusade began at 5 p.m. each day.
Thousands attended, including bishops, reverends, evangelists, pastors, traditional chiefs, businessmen and women, traders, and more. On the first day, Rev. Dr. Ernest Odogba delivered a powerful message that led many to surrender their lives to Christ. He introduced “Bonanza Healing” using a toll gate method, where those who passed through the gate were healed. Many in the prayer line were also healed. He concluded with a general prayer, resulting in numerous healings, deliverances, and blessings.
On the second day, attendance and the number of people on the prayer line doubled. After another powerful sermon, many were healed and delivered. Rev. Dr. Ernest Odogba instructed attendees to use sand from the crusade ground, pray over it, and apply it to afflicted areas. Those who believed and obeyed were healed instantly. He concluded with a general prayer, and many testified of their healings.
On the final day, the prayer line tripled compared to the previous days, with people registering as early as 1 p.m. After a powerful sermon, many were won to God’s kingdom. Rev. Dr. Ernest Odogba prayed for those on the prayer line, leading to many healings and deliverances from various afflictions.
In summary, over these three days, many people were healed from conditions such as hunched backs, cancer, rheumatism, lumbar spondylosis, multiple fibroids, arthritis, epilepsy, blindness, deafness, and various pains. Numerous attendees were delivered from bondages, attacks, oppressions, and unspecified problems. Those healed and delivered shared their testimonies, and many expressed a desire for another crusade soon in Romi. Attendees eagerly collected the church’s address and promised to join future services, particularly the Wednesday Faith Clinic and Sunday Service.
KAKURI MIRACLE CRUSADES
ERNEST ODOGBA MIRACLE CRUSADE
Kakuri Crusade
MIRACLE GALORE
Rev. Dr. Ernest Odogba conducted his usual Miracle Bonanza at the recently held Kakuri Crusade. He invited the first twenty people to run and cross the toll gate within a count of five for their healing. To everyone’s amazement, all who crossed the gate within the count were instantly healed. Among the healed were a man with 5 years of chest pain, a woman with long-standing waist pain, a woman with chronic stomach ache, a woman with leg pains for 5 years, and a woman who was blind in her right eye. All were instantly healed. Rev. Dr. Ernest Odogba, who had earlier announced that his touch or a tap would heal many and set them free, demonstrated this as he tapped and touched each of them.
CRIPPLED AND DUMB YOUNG LADY HEALED
The miracle of a young lady named Maryam Surajudeen astonished the entire crusade ground. This uncommon raw miracle from God drew awe as she was brought in half-dead. Maryam could not stand, walk, sit, or talk for the past 9 years. Her mother, who brought her, shared that despite visiting many hospitals and trying all possible treatments, Maryam remained unhealed. Carried to the toilet, bathed, and fed like a baby, Maryam would crawl on her back to move. As the crusade was closing, her parents, with the help of four people, brought her to Rev. Dr. Ernest Odogba. To the glory of God, as he prayed and tapped her repeatedly, declaring her healed, she stood up and began walking. The crusade ground erupted into celebration, with instrumentalists playing, choristers singing praises, and everyone, including Maryam, dancing and glorifying God for this extraordinary miracle. Many souls were won to Christ, and even skeptics witnessed the power of God.
LUMBAR SPONDYLOSIS HEALED

A New Nigeria is Coming
Bible Reading: Isaiah 60:1-5
“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.” Proverbs 29:2
As we look around Nigeria today, it’s easy to feel discouraged by corruption, economic instability, and rampant insecurity. Yet, in the midst of these challenges, God’s Word assures us that a brighter future is possible for our nation. A new Nigeria is coming—one where righteousness, justice, and the fear of God prevail.
For this transformation to happen, the government must be guided by right information and surrounded by the right people who have integrity and a heart for the nation. Leaders at every level need divine wisdom, and they must allow the fear of God to rule their decisions. Proverbs 9:10 says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” Only leaders who walk in God’s wisdom can guide Nigeria to a place of prosperity and peace.
In addition to praying for righteous leadership, the citizens of Nigeria must play their part. It is time for us to return to the foundation of the Word of God. When we study the Bible and pray, we align our hearts with God’s will and seek to serve Him. Through our prayers and godly lifestyle, we can be agents of change. Our combined efforts will drive out the forces of kidnapping, corruption, and other evils plaguing our land.
Just as we see in 2 Chronicles 7:14, God promises that if His people humble themselves, pray, and turn from wickedness, He will heal the land. It’s time for us to pray fervently for a new Nigeria, where righteousness flourishes and every form of injustice is uprooted.
Prophetic Declaration for Nigeria
In the name of Jesus, I declare a new dawn over Nigeria. Corruption is eradicated, righteousness prevails, and peace reigns. God-fearing leaders arise in government, and the fear of God fills our police force. Nigeria’s economy is revived, and every evil plan of the enemy is destroyed. Nigeria shall rise and shine as a beacon of hope and prosperity in Africa and beyond. We declare divine wisdom upon our leaders and spiritual revival across the land. A new Nigeria is here, in Jesus’ name!
Happy Nigeria independence and Covenant Life Ministry Today

The Blessing of Obedience
Bible Reading Ruth 3:1-18
“So Ruth said to her, ‘I will do everything you say.” - Ruth 3:5 (CSB)
“Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.” —Ephesians 6:1 Ruth’s response to Naomi in Ruth 3:5 is a powerful illustration of obedience rooted in trust. Ruth, a young widow in a foreign land, chose to follow her mother-in-law’s instructions, even when the outcome was uncertain. Her willingness to obey demonstrated not only her respect for Naomi but also her faith in the wisdom and love behind Naomi’s guidance.
For a young girl today, this verse is particularly relevant in her relationship with her parents. Parents often give advice that may seem restrictive or unnecessary, such as encouraging their daughter to focus on her studies or to avoid certain activities. While the girl may not fully understand the reasons behind their instructions, her parents’ guidance comes from a place of love and a desire to protect and prepare her for the future.
Just as Ruth’s obedience led to blessings she couldn’t have imagined—eventually becoming the great-grandmother of King David—a young girl’s obedience to her parents can lead to a life filled with opportunities and success. It’s important to remember that true wisdom often lies in the counsel of those who care deeply for us. In a world that encourages independence and self-reliance, this verse reminds us of the value of listening to and trusting the guidance of our parents. Obedience is not just about following rules; it’s about acknowledging the love and wisdom behind the guidance given to us.
Prayer:
“Lord, help me to trust and obey my parent”

The Enemy’s Strategy: Separation
Bible Reading: Hebrews 13:1-25
“Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over your souls .” — Hebrews 13:17
One of Satan’s most effective strategies is to isolate believers from their spiritual leaders. I have seen this unfold in the lives of five people who eventually passed away, all of whom began to distance themselves from their pastor and church before their ordeal. This was not a coincidence but part of the enemy’s plan. When the devil wants to attack, frustrate, or hinder someone, he often starts by planting seeds of doubt and dissatisfaction. A person begins to see faults with their church and pastor, focusing on their flaws rather than the spiritual nourishment they provide. Over time, the person may lose trust in the prayers and guidance of their pastor, and their connection to the church weakens.
Satan knows the power of unity in the body of Christ and will do everything to disrupt that. He not only separates believers emotionally and spiritually but also works to block their willingness to give, support, or serve in the church. This gradual withdrawal from community involvement weakens their faith and leaves them vulnerable to the enemy’s attacks. To counteract this, it is essential to stay rooted in your church, committed to supporting the vision, and connected to your pastor. Maintain a heart of service, give generously, and stay active in fellowship. This not only protects you from the enemy’s schemes but also strengthens your relationship with God and the church.
Affirmation:
“I reject the devil’s lies. I remain connected, faithful, and committed to my church and pastor.”

Responding to God’s Call
Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 3:1-21
1 Samuel 3:10 (NIV) - “The LORD came and stood there, calling as at the other times, ‘Samuel! Samuel!’ Then Samuel said, ‘Speak, for your servant is listening.’”
In 1 Samuel 3:4, we read, “Then the LORD called Samuel, and he answered, ‘Here I am.’” This simple yet profound interaction marks a pivotal moment in Samuel’s life, as it signifies the beginning of his journey as a prophet of God. Samuel, a young boy serving in the temple under Eli, hears a voice calling his name in the night. Although he initially mistakes this voice for Eli’s, Samuel’s response, “Here I am,” demonstrates his readiness and willingness to serve. This openness to God’s call is a vital lesson for us today.
God’s call often comes when we least expect it and in ways we may not immediately recognize. Samuel’s experience shows that God reaches out to us in the ordinary moments of life. The key is our response. Are we, like Samuel, prepared to say, “Here I am,” even when we don’t fully understand what God is asking of us?
This passage also highlights the importance of guidance and mentorship. Samuel was under Eli’s tutelage, and though Eli himself had flaws, he eventually recognized that it was God calling the boy. This teaches us that while we may rely on others for spiritual guidance, we must be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading, for God often speaks directly to us. For example, imagine someone sensing a call to mission work. They might not immediately understand where or how they should serve. However, by maintaining a posture of readiness and saying, “Here I am,” they allow God to guide them step by step, just as He did with Samuel. This narrative reminds us that God’s call is personal, purposeful, and powerful. Our responsibility is to listen, respond, and trust in His direction.
Prayer Point:
“Lord, help me to be attentive and responsive to Your call.”

Overcoming Depression through God’s Grace
Bible Reading: Psalm 34:1-22
“The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18 (NIV)
Depression can be a heavy burden, but as believers, God has equipped us with tools to combat this darkness. One of the key strategies is to resist isolation. The Bible reminds us that “iron sharpens iron” (Proverbs 27:17), which means that fellowship with others strengthens and uplifts us. Stay connected with people who encourage and support you, even when it feels difficult. A smile or a kind word, even in the toughest times, can begin to shift your perspective.
Gratitude is a powerful weapon against despair. In all circumstances, give thanks to God for the gift of life. Every day is a blessing, and acknowledging even the smallest of God’s mercies can brighten your outlook. Similarly, sharing small acts of kindness—whether offering a handshake, a simple greeting, or a glass of water—helps you to step outside of your struggles and focus on serving others.
To further equip yourself spiritually, commit to reading at least 10 chapters of the Bible daily. God’s Word is living and active, capable of renewing your mind and breaking the chains of hopelessness. Spend 30 minutes in prayer, bringing your heart before God. He hears and answers every cry. Finally, make worship a regular part of your routine by attending church at least three times a week. Praise lifts our spirits and helps us to draw closer to the God who heals.
Position Confession:
“I am not alone. God is with me. His joy strengthens me, and His peace fills my heart.”

Topic: HIS KINGSHIP
Text: John 12:12-19
Memory Verse: “…Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord” John12:13
LONG-AWAITED KING: John 12:12,13; Ps 2:6-8, Rev 19:16
God had commanded the children of Israel to gather every year from all parts of the nation to a place he would choose for them. Centuries after the command was issued, the people still kept coming. Christ was their long-awaited King. He was recognized by the people. The Father had testified about Him, the Holy Ghost (the Author) had written about Him (in the Scriptures) and John the Baptist had spoken about Him. His miracles also had provided evidence and credentials that this is the King. The people eventually yielded to fulfill the Scriptures.
Christ being the King is not something new. It had been prophesied from the Scriptures. It was revealed that He is coming; and when He comes, He will be the King of kings and Lord of lords. The people would recognize Him as King and come to Him. He has come already. Others have recognized Him and we ought to recognize Him as King and Master of our lives. Christ is the King and He will rule in the hearts of those who believe in Him. He will have an everlasting dominion and kingship. His kingdom will not end.
THE ACKNOWLEDGED KING: John 12:14-16, Luke 19:35-39, Matt 23: 37,38
Jesus fulfilled prophecy, overcame temptation, worked His miracles and did everything as it is written. What an example for us, that every step we take, everything we say, decision we make and our character and behavior would be guided by the Scriptures. It happened exactly as it was written. That gives us assurance that whatever we read in the Word of God would be fulfilled as it is written.
Christ is exalted. There is no man, prophet, or an angel like Him. He is above them all. We should let Him reign over our lives. He will rule and reign over the whole earth. Jesus is King, Savior, Sanctifier and Deliverer, yet, His disciples did not understand fully. It is what we understand that will give us the victory. Thus, we need to understand the nature, power and preeminence of Christ.
The Savior was near, but they were not saved, the Deliverer was near but they were not delivered. The King of kings was near but they did not allow Him to rule over them. They recognized Him as the King of Israel but they did not believe in their hearts. We should know Him as King and submit to Him as King.

LOVE IN OUR EYES
By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. John 13:35
If you want to experience a greater manifestation of the spirit of God in your life, love is the way. Walk in love. Love is the ‘more excellent way’ the love of God in you can be so palpable that it literally radiates through your eyes. There is no telling of what the Lord can do in and through you in your community, environment or among your cell centre or department in church, office etc. when you radiate His love, so much so that it is seen in your eyes.
We have the nature of love in our spirit because the love of God has been shed abroad in our heart by the Holy Spirit. Love is a way of life for every born again child of God. Our eyes are windows of the spirit through which God looks at others with love. Treat people with compassion, see them with the eyes of love. Let love be more than a topic to you. Relate to people in a way that they can see and feel your love. People were attracted to Jesus not because He was a miracle worker, but because they could see that He loves them. They felt His love, including little children (Matt 19:14). Let those around you see Jesus in your eyes.
Question
Who are we to show love to?

The Departure of God’s Glory
Bible Reading Chapter: 1 Samuel 4:1-22
1 Samuel 4:22 (CSB) - “She said, ‘The glory has departed from Israel, for the ark of God has been captured.’”
In 1 Samuel 4:21, we witness a moment of deep despair for Israel. The verse states, “She named the boy Ichabod, saying, ‘The glory has departed from Israel,’ referring to the capture of the ark of God and to the deaths of her father-in-law and her husband.” The Ark of the Covenant, which symbolized God’s presence, had been captured by the Philistines, and the loss signified that God’s glory had departed from His people.
This event is not just a historical account but a powerful reminder for us today. Many people attend church, engage in religious activities, and believe they are secure in their relationship with God. However, they live promiscuous lives, indulge in sinful behaviors, and participate in ungodly rituals. They may think that their church attendance or involvement in religious ceremonies somehow grants them permission to continue living in sin. They fail to realize that their actions have caused God’s glory to depart from them. Just as Israel lost the Ark due to their disobedience, so too can individuals lose the sense of God’s presence when they live in sin.
Living a lifestyle of drugs, partying, and clubbing can have a devastating effect on one’s spiritual life. These activities draw people away from God, leading them into deeper spiritual darkness. Yet, God, in His great love and mercy, desires to save and restore those who have strayed. He is calling each of us to turn away from sin and to serve Him in truth and spirit. God’s desire is not to condemn but to restore. He wants you to be wholly His, serving Him with a pure heart. Now is the time to respond to His call, to repent, and to allow Him to restore His glory in your life.
Prayer Point: “Lord, restore Your glory in my life and community.”
OCTOBER 8
Rejecting God’s Kingship: The Consequences of Worldly Pursuits
Bible Reading Chapter: 1 Samuel 8:1-22
“But the LORD told him, ‘Listen to all that the people are saying to you; it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their king.’” 1 Samuel 8:7 (NIV)
God addresses Samuel’s concerns about Israel’s demand for a human king. The people were not just rejecting Samuel’s leadership; they were rejecting God as their king. This rejection was rooted in their desire to conform to the world around them, seeking security in human authority rather than in God’s divine rule. This rejection of God’s kingship is still evident today, particularly in the ways people prioritize worldly desires over their relationship with God. Many are consumed by the pursuit of wealth, opting for “get rich quick” schemes that compromise their integrity and lead them away from godly principles. This obsession with material success often causes people to reject God’s guidance, believing that their own plans and ambitions will bring them happiness and fulfillment. In reality, these choices lead to spiritual emptiness and separation from God.
Similarly, the pressures surrounding marriage have led many to make decisions that are contrary to God’s will. The desire to conform to societal expectations often results in individuals compromising their faith, entering into relationships that pull them away from God. Young people, especially after leaving university, may be tempted to abandon their religious upbringing in favor of lifestyles that are incompatible with Christian values. The pursuit of worldly relationships and social status can lead them to stray from God, resulting in marriages and partnerships that are not centered on Him.Women and men alike, influenced by the desire to fit in with their peers, may engage in behaviors that are dishonoring to God. Friendships that encourage “nasty things,” such as promiscuity, dishonesty, and other sinful activities, can erode one’s spiritual life. Although many people continue to attend church, their hearts are far from God. They may go through the motions of religious practice, but in reality, they have rejected God’s authority in their lives.
God is calling us to recognize His kingship, to resist the temptation to conform to the world, and to make choices that honor Him. Rejecting God’s ways for worldly pursuits leads to spiritual decline, but embracing His kingship brings true fulfillment and eternal security.
Prayer Point: “Lord, help me to submit fully to Your kingship in my life.”

Divine Guidance Through Life’s Circumstances
Bible Reading Chapter: 1 Samuel 9:1-27
“One day the donkeys of Saul’s father Kish wandered off. Kish said to his son Saul, ‘Take one of the servants with you and go look for the donkeys.’” 1 Samuel 9:3 (CSB)
We see an ordinary event—Saul’s father, Kish, sends him out to find lost donkeys. This seemingly mundane task becomes a pivotal moment in Saul’s life. As Saul searches for the donkeys, he encounters the prophet Samuel, who anoints him as king of Israel. This narrative illustrates how God can use even minor, everyday problems to guide us to our destiny.
Saul’s journey to find the donkeys, a task that initially seems insignificant, actually leads him to a divine appointment. God orchestrates this situation to direct Saul toward his calling as king. This demonstrates that God often uses life’s challenges and routine tasks to position us for greater purposes. What may appear as a frustrating inconvenience or a problem can be a blessing in disguise, steering us toward opportunities we might not have anticipated.
Consider the story of Joseph in Genesis. Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers and falsely imprisoned. These severe trials seemed like a series of unfortunate events. However, they were instrumental in Joseph’s journey to becoming a powerful leader in Egypt. His suffering and challenges ultimately positioned him to save many lives during a famine and to reunite with his family, demonstrating that what initially appeared as misfortune was part of God’s greater plan for his life.
Life’s problems and unexpected detours are often more than mere obstacles. They can be part of a divine strategy, guiding us toward our destiny. Just as Saul’s search for lost donkeys led him to anointing as king, and Joseph’s trials led him to leadership, so can our difficulties and detours become the pathways to fulfilling our purpose.
Prayer Point: “Lord, help me recognize and embrace Your guidance through life’s challenges.”

Integrity in Leadership: Accountability and Honesty
Bible Reading Chapter: 1 Samuel 12:1-25
“Here I am. Bring charges against me before the LORD and his anointed: Whose ox or donkey have I taken? Who have I wronged or mistreated? Who gave me a bribe to overlook something? I will return it to you.” 1 Samuel 12:3 (CSB) -
Samuel challenges the people of Israel to hold him accountable for his actions as their leader. He asks them to bring any charges against him, including accusations of theft, mistreatment, or bribery. This verse highlights Samuel’s commitment to integrity and transparency in his leadership. He is willing to be scrutinized to prove that he has acted justly and without personal gain. This passage teaches us the importance of integrity in all areas of life, particularly in leadership roles. When we are entrusted with responsibilities, it is crucial to act honestly and be accountable for our actions. Samuel’s willingness to answer for his conduct underscores the value of maintaining trust and ethical behavior.
Imagine an employee who is sent to purchase office supplies with a company credit card. Instead of spending the full amount on supplies, they use part of the money for personal expenses. This act of dishonesty breaches the trust placed in them and undermines their integrity. Consider a worker who takes office supplies, such as pens, papers, batteries, notepads, or even a laptop, for personal use. While these items might seem insignificant, their theft is a serious breach of trust. It reflects poorly on the individual’s character and can have legal and professional consequences.
In both cases, accountability and honesty are essential. The individual must be willing to admit wrongdoing, rectify the situation, and return what was wrongfully taken. This demonstrates a commitment to ethical behavior and helps restore trust.
Prayer Point: “Lord, grant me the strength to act with integrity in all situations.”
OCTOBER 11
God’s Faithfulness to Those Who Trust Him
Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 12:1-25
1 Samuel 12:22 (NIV) - “For the sake of his great name the LORD will not reject his people, because the LORD was pleased to make you his own.”
The Lord’s commitment to His people is unwavering. 1 Samuel 12:22 assures us that God will not forsake those who trust in Him. This promise is rooted in His faithfulness and the covenant He made with His people. God’s presence and support are guaranteed as long as we remain faithful to Him, trusting Him fully and seeking His guidance. When we forsake God and rely solely on our own efforts and initiatives, we risk losing His active involvement in our lives. While we might achieve success through our own means, it is not the same as experiencing God’s blessing and guidance. This principle is illustrated by King Amaziah, who obeyed God but did not do so with a whole heart. His service to God was not complete, which led to significant consequences.
God desires our wholehearted devotion. He wants our hearts to be fully committed to Him, to serve Him with sincerity, and to follow His ways diligently. Even in times of trouble, lack, or difficulty, God promises to be with us, providing strength and guidance. His faithfulness ensures that, even when we face challenges, we do not face them alone. Consider a business owner who, despite being a Christian, relies heavily on manipulative practices to achieve success. While they may achieve financial gains, their lack of integrity means that God is not blessing their endeavors. In contrast, a person who faithfully seeks God’s guidance and operates with honesty and integrity may face challenges but experiences God’s blessing and support.
Prayer Point:
“Lord, help me to trust and follow You with a pure heart.”
OCTOBER 12
The Role of Natural and Spiritual Laws in Blessings
Bible Reading Chapter: Matthew 5:1-48
“He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.” Matthew 5:45 (NIV)
Indeed, God blesses both believers and unbelievers. In Matthew 5:45, Jesus teaches that God’s blessings, symbolized by the sun and rain, are given to everyone, regardless of their righteousness. This principle underscores that God’s provision and blessings extend beyond His people to all of creation. Blessings are often a result of obeying natural laws—principles inherent in the world that operate independently of spiritual beliefs. For example, when individuals or nations practice diligence, integrity, and adherence to natural laws, such as sowing and reaping, they can experience prosperity. This is because these natural laws reflect the order God established in creation.
However, Christians have the unique advantage of leveraging both spiritual and natural laws. While unbelievers may achieve success through natural laws alone, Christians are called to integrate spiritual principles with natural efforts. This means not only applying diligence and integrity but also seeking God’s guidance, wisdom, and protection through prayer and faith.
Unfortunately, many Christians focus solely on spiritual practices while neglecting practical, natural laws that contribute to success. This imbalance can limit their potential and effectiveness. To fully experience God’s blessings, Christians should combine spiritual principles, like faith and prayer, with practical actions grounded in natural laws, such as hard work and strategic planning. This integration ensures that God’s favor and protection accompany their efforts, enhancing their success and security.Consider a Christian entrepreneur who prays for business success but neglects to conduct market research, implement effective strategies, or manage resources wisely. While their spiritual practices are valuable, their business might not thrive without applying sound natural principles. Conversely, a business that combines prayer and faith with diligent research, planning, and execution is likely to see both spiritual and material blessings.
Prayer Point:
“Lord, help me to integrate spiritual wisdom with practical efforts for success.”

Topic: GLORIOUS DESTINY
Text: John 12: 20-36
Memory Verse: “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me” John 12:32
SAVIOR’S DEATH: John 12:23-26, Col 3:1-4, Matt 10:37-39
What the disciples did not understand was the Savior’s death. The Jewish people did not also understand that the Messiah will die. They should have understood that because the Old Testament predicted His death. He died to bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. The result of the sacrifice and death of Christ at Calvary is to bring many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through suffering.
The result of the provision of Calvary will come into your life as you believe and understand. He died so that He can take all your sins away.
He calls us to self-denial. If you must belong to Him, you must not indulge in the works of flesh. People who glory in the flesh and cannot deny themselves of pressure and sin will languish in hell. But when you understand the need to deny self and follow Christ whole heartedly not minding what you have to forgo and forsake, then you will be honored by the Father.
Those who give up their sin and keep following Christ until the very end will have a glorious destiny.
HIS VICTORIOUS DOMINION: John12:27-31, Luke 24:26,27; Heb2:14
Christ is committed to God’s glory. He died on the cross so that the enemy of our soul, future and destiny will be “cast out”. As a result, we launch into victory, strength and power. We need to understand the purpose of Christ’s coming. The purpose of His coming is for us to be saved and “enter into His glory”. He suffered the pain and punishment of the whole world to set us free from the bondage of sin. Christ prayed and the Father answered. He is still in the business of praying for us and the Father still answers. The prince of this world, Satan, cannot have authority or final say over our lives because Christ has given us “power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means hurt us” Luke 10:19.
If you have abandoned your sin and believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, “your names are written in heaven”. Satan’s power is destroyed; his programs and conspiracy are crushed because Christ has power to “destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil”. Satan has been utterly defeated at Calvary; and that is why we experience total victory.

BE A SOUL WINNER
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations baptizing them in the name of the father, and of the son and of the Holy Spirit: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matt 28:19-20
When God saved you, He makes you His partner in saving others; you become His Co-worker in reaching others with His message of salvation. You are not on earth to merely balance the ecosystem; God has a purpose for your life. He saved you, and leave you in the earth to be His witness. Isaiah 43:10 says, “Ye are my witnesses; saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen…” You are chosen and ordained of God as His able minister of the gospel: Who also hath made us able ministers of the New Testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit…” (2 Cor 3:6). As a minister of reconciliation, and a steward of the mysteries of Christ, you are required to be faithful to the Lord in sharing the gospel and teaching others the mysteries of God’s Kingdom (1 Cor 4:1-2) In 2 Tim 2:2 Paul said, “All the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.”

A Cause Worth Fighting For
Bible Reading Chapter: 1 Samuel 17:1-58
“And David said, ‘What have I done now? Is there not a cause?’” 1 Samuel 17:29 (NKJV)
In 1 Samuel 17:29, David’s words capture a moment of profound conviction and boldness. The context is the confrontation between the Israelites and the Philistines, where Goliath, a giant warrior, has been taunting the armies of Israel, challenging them to send a champion to fight him. The Israelites, including King Saul, are paralyzed by fear. David, a young shepherd boy, is sent by his father to deliver food to his brothers, who are part of Israel’s army. When David hears Goliath’s defiance and sees the fear among his people, he is deeply disturbed. His eldest brother, Eliab, rebukes him, accusing him of pride and mischief for speaking out. David responds with the now-famous words, “What have I done now? Is there not a cause?”
David’s question isn’t just a defense against his brother’s accusation; it’s a declaration of purpose. He recognizes the gravity of the situation and understands that Goliath’s challenge is more than a physical battle-it’s a spiritual one. The honor of God and the fate of Israel are at stake. David’s rhetorical question implies that the cause, the defense of God’s name and His people demands action.God often opens our eyes to situations, injustices, or opportunities that others may overlook. When we witness something that stirs our spirit or hear about a need that touches our heart, it could be God prompting us to act. Just as David saw Goliath’s challenge as an affront to God and His people, we too are called to see such moments as divine opportunities to step in and make a difference.
Recognizing the Opportunity: Sometimes, God allows us to see things others don’t because He wants us to act. It could be an issue at work, in the community, or within the church. If something burdens your heart or provokes you to ask, “Why isn’t anyone doing something about this?” that may be God’s way of calling you to take action.
Courage to Act: Like David, who faced Goliath with just a sling and stones, God doesn’t always require us to have all the resources or answers before we step out. What He seeks is our willingness to trust Him and act courageously.
Understanding the Cause: We must discern the importance of the cause. Not every opportunity is for us to act upon, but when God reveals a situation that aligns with His will and purpose, it’s important to recognize it as our moment to make a difference.
Empowered by Faith: David’s confidence didn’t come from his own strength but from his faith in God. Similarly, when God shows us a cause, He also provides the strength, wisdom, and resources needed to address it. Our role is to step out in faith, trusting that God will guide and empower us.
In conclusion, just as David was stirred by a cause that led him to confront Goliath, we too are sometimes placed in situations where God calls us to act. When God allows us to see or hear something that moves us deeply, it’s often an invitation to partner with Him in bringing about change, standing up for righteousness, or meeting a need. The question then becomes, “Will we respond to the call?”

The Benefit of Tithing
Bible Reading: Matthew 6:1-34
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” - Matthew 6:21 (NIV)
Tithing, a sacred act of giving one-tenth of your income or possessions to God, is more than just a religious obligation; it is a profound demonstration of faith, obedience, and reverence toward the Creator. This ancient practice, deeply rooted in the Scriptures, serves as a powerful tool for both spiritual growth and personal transformation. One of the most significant spiritual benefits of tithing is the discipline it cultivates in the believer. By regularly setting aside a portion of our income, we learn to prioritize God in our finances, reminding ourselves that everything we possess ultimately belongs to Him. This discipline extends beyond finances, helping us develop a lifestyle centered around God’s principles.
Moreover, tithing is an expression of our faith and trust in God’s provision. When we give away a portion of what we earn, we are actively placing our trust in God to meet our needs, reinforcing our belief that He is our provider. This act of giving purifies our hearts, steering us away from the grip of materialism and selfishness, and instead fostering joy and contentment in our walk with God. It’s crucial to understand that tithing is for our benefit, not God’s. God doesn’t need our money, but we need the spiritual and personal growth that comes with obedience. Through tithing, we experience great blessings—peace of mind, increased faith, inspiration, and divine guidance. It aligns our hearts with God’s will and brings us closer to His holiness, as He calls us to live holy lives (1 Peter 1:16).
In summary, tithing is not merely a financial transaction; it is an act of worship and surrender that brings us into deeper communion with God.
Prayer Declaration: “Lord, teach me to trust You completely and honor You with my tithe. Amen.”

The Power of Social Media Evangelism
Bible Reading: Matthew 28:1-20
Memory Verse: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” - Matthew 28:19 (ESV)
In today’s digital age, social media has emerged as a powerful tool for sharing the gospel. As believers, we are commissioned to go into all the world and spread the Good News (Mark 16:15). Social media evangelism allows us to fulfill this mission by using platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to share God’s message and the teachings of the Bible.
There are several effective ways to engage in social media evangelism. Sharing Bible verses and inspirational quotes can reach and encourage many who may not attend church regularly. Posting personal testimonies of how God has impacted your life can inspire others to seek a relationship with Him. Creating and sharing Christian content, such as images and videos, helps spread the gospel in creative and engaging ways. Engaging in online discussions allows you to answer questions and share biblical truths, while sharing links to Christian resources, like daily devotions, helps deepen others’ understanding of the faith.
For churches to be effective in social media evangelism, it’s essential to define their target audience and understand their specific needs. Creating content that is both engaging and relevant to this audience is key. Using hashtags strategically can also help extend the reach of posts, connecting with a broader audience. The spiritual advantages of social media evangelism include increased visibility and accessibility of the church’s message, fostering personal connections, and enabling deeper relationships within the Christian community.
Prayer Declaration: “Lord, use me as a vessel to spread Your Word and love through social media. Amen.”

The Power of Prayer
Bible Reading: 1 Thessalonians 5:1-28,
“Pray without ceasing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:17 (NKJV)
Prayer is the core of a believer’s life, an essential means of communication with God. Much like the CPU in a computer system, prayer, together with the Word, powers and guides our spiritual journey. It is not just an activity, but a lifestyle for every believer. We pray because God has called us to do so. Luke 18:1 teaches us that we should always pray and not lose heart. This persistent communication with God is key to our spiritual strength and growth. Moreover, Jesus Himself modeled the importance of prayer by frequently withdrawing to pray (Mark 1:35). If prayer was a priority for Jesus, it should be for us as well.
Prayer also acts as a defense against temptation. As seen in Matthew 26:41, Jesus instructed His disciples to watch and pray so that they might not fall into temptation. Through prayer, we receive strength and wisdom to overcome challenges and stay aligned with God’s will. Additionally, prayer cultivates a heart of gratitude. In Philippians 4:6-7, we are encouraged to present our requests to God with thanksgiving. When we pray, we reflect on God’s goodness, which fosters a spirit of thankfulness, helping us recognize His blessings in our lives.
In summary, prayer is not merely a religious practice; it is the heartbeat of our relationship with God. It keeps us connected, empowers us to resist temptation, and fills our hearts with gratitude. By making prayer a daily habit, we align ourselves with God’s will and experience His peace and presence in our lives.
Prayer Declaration: “Lord, teach me to communicate with You daily through prayer, making it my lifestyle. Amen.”

Dedicating Yourself to Work Despite All Odds
Bible Reading: Colossians 3:1-25
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” — Colossians 3:23 (NIV)
As believers, we are called to dedicate ourselves fully to the work God has placed before us, even when faced with significant challenges. This dedication is not just about fulfilling duties, but about serving God with excellence, perseverance, and focus.
Firstly, dedicating yourself to work involves sacrificing personal interests for God’s work. This means putting God’s priorities above your own and willingly making sacrifices to ensure His work is accomplished. Colossians 3:23 reminds us that in whatever we do, we are to work with all our hearts as if serving the Lord, not merely human masters.
Secondly, dedication requires a refusal to give up despite discouragements. The journey is not always easy, and there will be times when you may feel like quitting. However, 1 Corinthians 15:58 encourages us to be steadfast and immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that our labor in the Lord is not in vain. We must keep pressing forward, trusting that God sees our efforts and will reward our faithfulness. Staying focused and united despite the challenges is another key aspect of dedication. Distractions and challenges can easily derail us from our purpose, but when we remain focused on God’s call and stay united with others in the body of Christ, we can overcome obstacles together.
Lastly, growing your mindset and learning from mistakes is crucial. Dedication involves continuous growth—both spiritually and mentally. As 2 Timothy 2:3 teaches, we must endure hardships like good soldiers of Christ Jesus. This means learning from past errors, adapting, and becoming stronger in the process. In conclusion, dedicating yourself to work despite all odds is about commitment, perseverance, and growth. It’s about serving God with your whole heart, regardless of the circumstances, knowing that your work is ultimately for His glory.
Prayer Declaration: “Lord, grant me the strength and dedication to persevere in Your work, no matter the challenges. Amen.”

Dealing with Offenses and Loving Others
Bible Reading: Matthew 18:1-35
‘Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother? Jesus answered, ‘I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.’” — Matthew 18:21-22 (NIV)
Dealing with offenses and loving others are central to the Christian walk, reflecting the heart of Christ in our relationships. Jesus teaches us about the importance of forgiveness and the boundless nature of love through His response to Peter’s question about forgiveness in Matthew 18:21-22.To handle offenses effectively, start by dealing with your own mindset. Recognize that harboring resentment and unforgiveness can affect your spiritual well-being and relationships. Align your thoughts with God’s perspective on forgiveness, as seen in Matthew 18:22, where Jesus emphasizes the need for limitless forgiveness. Creating excuses for others is another important approach. By understanding that everyone makes mistakes and is imperfect, you can foster a spirit of grace rather than judgment. This mindset helps in dealing with offenses more compassionately.
Additionally, staying within the right system—an environment of love and support—is crucial. Your surroundings can significantly influence how you handle offenses. Being part of a supportive community encourages you to respond with love rather than bitterness. It’s also essential to acknowledge your hurt but not dwell on it. Recognize your feelings without letting them dominate your actions. By admitting you are hurt, you take the first step toward healing and moving forward. Praying for the offender is a powerful way to transform your heart. When you pray for those who have wronged you, you invite God to change your perspective and cultivate a spirit of forgiveness and love. Finally, learning to live in love is the ultimate goal. Embrace a lifestyle of love, where forgiveness is a natural expression of your relationship with others, reflecting Christ’s love for us. In summary, dealing with offenses involves a mindset of forgiveness, grace, and love. It requires acknowledging your feelings, praying for others, and striving to live out love in all circumstances.
Prayer Declaration: “Lord, help me to forgive others as You have forgiven me and to live in Your love always. Amen.”

Topic: DIVINE REPORT
Text: John 12: 37-50
Memory Verse: “Yet they believed not on Him; that the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke, Lord, who hath believed our report and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed” John 12:37,38
FULFILLING DIVINE PROPHECIES: John 12: 37-44, Matt 24:12
Believing the Word of God we hear, learn and study from a genuine source is very important for our Christian faith. During His time, our Lord Jesus Christ performed miracles, signs and wonders with spiritual powers “yet they believed not on Him”. It is when we believe the word, prophecy, revelation, teaching and message that the hand of the Lord, His power, goodness and possibilities are revealed unto us.
The word “believe” is very central to our Christian faith because it is when we believe that our sins are forgiven and we have the blessing of God. There is a glorious privilege in believing and great peril in not believing. The prophets of the Old Testament gave us prophecies of the Word of God, which must be fulfilled. Whether we believe or not we are fulfilling prophecy. If we believe, we are fulfilling positive prophecy but if we refuse to believe, we are fulfilling the negative prophecy. It is by believing that we receive the grace of God, salvation, sanctification, Holy Ghost baptism and eternal life.
God does not force anyone to fulfill His prophecies. For instance, Christ said, “because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold”. Some people will fulfill that, but a believer must not because “he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved” Matt 24:13
PROPHECIES AND MESSENGERS: John 12:37-41, Matt 13:14,15; Acts 13:38-41
In the Old Testament, Isaiah the prophet had seen the glory of the coming Christ. He spoke about Him as the Messiah and One who will reveal the mind of the Almighty God. In spite of this, there were people who did not believe and accept; instead, they fulfilled negative prophecies and perished in their sins, conversion and healing waited for them, but they made a choice to remain in their calamity. The reason we study the Word of God is for you to make a decision to come to the light.
Those who believe that God has predestined some people to damnation do err. God does not want us to be lost. Many who remain in unbelief will go to a regrettable eternity. This is not God’s fault; it is theirs. The Lord wants us to choose right, believe and be saved. You can make the right choice today and change your eternal destiny by being “not of them who draw back unto perdition, but of them that believe to the saving of the soul” Hebrews 10:39

HONOUR SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY
Jude 1: 8-10
There is a remarkable lesson for us to learn from the attitude of Michael the archangel, when he disputed with Satan over the body of Moses. Michael, with all this power and glory, could not dare bring an accusation against Satan, an evil personality. This was because he recognized that Satan had Adamic authority which is higher than angelic authority. Adam lost his authority to Satan when he ate of the fruit God had instructed him not to. As a result, Michael could only rebuke Satan in the name of the Lord, a higher authority. This is very instructive on how we are to relate to spiritual authority as God’s children. You should never criticize, dishonor or speak against those whom the Lord has placed in position of authority. Don’t say things against God’s people, especially minister of the gospel, because they carry the authority of God. 1 Thess 5:12 says, “And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you.” Some people in the church of God have authority over you in the Lord and they must be honoured as such.
Question
What is the reward for honouring spiritual authority?

Serving God Despite Business and Family Challenges
Bible Reading: Colossians 3:1-25
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” — Colossians 3:23 (NIV)
Serving God amid business and family challenges requires a steadfast commitment to Him despite the pressures and demands of daily life. It’s about prioritizing God and His work, regardless of the obstacles we face. Firstly, faith is crucial. Trust in God’s plan and His ability to guide you through challenges. Psalm 34:19 reminds us that many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers them from them all. Your faith assures you that God is with you in every situation, providing strength and guidance. Commitment is the next essential element. Like Daniel, who remained faithful to God despite being in a foreign land with great personal risk (Daniel 1:8-21), we must show unwavering dedication to serving God. Even when business and family pressures mount, maintain your commitment to God’s work and His principles.
Dedication involves consistently prioritizing God’s service in your life. Whether it’s through managing your business, balancing family duties, or fulfilling other responsibilities, let your work be done as unto the Lord (Colossians 3:23). This dedication reflects your devotion and helps maintain focus on His kingdom. A heart of gratitude is also vital. Cultivating thankfulness, even amidst difficulties, shifts your focus from problems to God’s blessings. Job, despite his immense suffering, never lost his sense of gratitude toward God (Job 1:21), which sustained him through his trials. Finally, recognize that challenges are meant to strengthen you. They build resilience, deepen your faith, and refine your character. Embrace them as opportunities for growth and an affirmation of God’s work in your life. In summary, serving God despite business and family challenges involves faith, commitment, dedication, gratitude, and an understanding that difficulties strengthen us. Keep God at the center of your life and work, trusting in His guidance and purpose.
Prayer Declaration: “Lord, help me to serve You faithfully through all challenges, with gratitude and unwavering commitment. Amen.”

The Call to Discipleship
Bible Reading: Matthew 4:1-25
“Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” - Matthew 4:19 (NIV)
Discipleship is the journey of studying and emulating the life of Christ. It involves not only learning about Jesus but also embodying His teachings and character in our daily lives. The essence of discipleship can be understood through several key qualities of a true disciple: Love for Jesus: A disciple’s primary characteristic is a deep love for Jesus. This love drives their commitment to follow Him and reflects in their actions and attitudes. As Jesus said in Matthew 4:19, following Him requires a heartfelt devotion and love. Teachable Spirit: A disciple is always teachable, open to learning from Jesus and others. Being teachable means being receptive to guidance, correction, and growth, allowing God to mold you into His image. Following Jesus: To be a disciple is to follow Jesus closely. This means aligning your life with His teachings, walking in His ways, and making Him the center of your daily decisions. Following Jesus involves obedience and a willingness to go where He leads.
Representation of Jesus: Disciples represent Jesus in their actions, words, and attitudes. They are His ambassadors on earth, reflecting His love, grace, and truth to those around them. How you live and interact with others should embody Christ’s character.Growth in Faith: A disciple continuously grows in faith. This growth involves deepening your relationship with God, understanding His Word more fully, and maturing in your spiritual walk. Disciples are committed to their spiritual development and seek to become more like Christ each day. In summary, discipleship is about loving Jesus, being teachable, following Him, representing Him well, and growing in faith. It’s a lifelong journey of becoming more like Christ and living out His mission in the world.
Prayer Declaration: “Lord, help me to grow as a disciple, loving You, learning from You, and representing You faithfully. Amen.”

Becoming a Channel of Blessing
Bible Reading: Matthew 25:34-40
“It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Acts 20:35
In today’s world, many are searching for hope, healing, and deliverance. One way we can be a blessing is by supporting ministries like the “Ernest Odogba Miracle Crusade,” which focuses on touching lives through the power of God. Becoming a channel of blessing doesn’t require grand gestures, but a willing heart and an active commitment to share God’s love.
Consider the story of a 90-year-old man who cried after learning that he would have to pay $500,000 for the oxygen he used in the hospital. His tears were not of fear, but of gratitude, as he realized that God had given him free oxygen for 90 years without charge. This story reminds us of how often we take God’s blessings for granted. We have the opportunity to share those blessings with others.
You can be a channel of blessing by participating in this crusade, inviting your family, friends, and loved ones to experience God’s power through healing and deliverance. Involve yourself in publicity efforts—broadcast the crusade, share posts, and talk about it in your community. You can also join the midnight prayers, Dominate Your Destiny, held every day at 1 PM and 11:30 PM on Facebook and YouTube with Ernest Odogba. These are powerful moments to pray and intercede for yourself and others.
In addition, consider supporting the ministry financially or through partnership. Your seed of love can go a long way in winning souls for Christ and expanding the reach of the gospel. As you give, God promises to reward you in abundance. Luke 6:38 reminds us, “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap.”
Call to Action
Make yourself involved in winning souls. Let love rule your heart and show care for others by participating in this crusade, whether through prayer, financial support, or simply inviting others. Healing and deliverance are available, and as you serve God by touching lives, He will bless and reward you beyond measure. Be a channel of His blessings today!

Celebrating Miracles and Healings
Bible Reading: Psalm 105:1-45
Memory Verse: “Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done.” — Psalm 105:1 (NIV)
Celebrating miracles and healings is an important aspect of our faith journey. These events are manifestations of God’s power and love, and celebrating them brings glory to Him. Dancing, singing, rejoicing, celebrating, and shouting to the Lord are powerful acts of worship that stir the heavens. When we praise God with all our hearts, it invites His presence and power into our circumstances. As seen with Jehoshaphat’s army in 2 Chronicles 20:22, when they praised, God gave victory. Rejoicing in faith shifts the atmosphere and releases miracles. Psalm 22:3 reminds us that God inhabits the praises of His people, bringing breakthroughs, deliverance, and divine intervention into impossible situations.
Reasons to Share Testimonies and Celebrate Healings: Glorifying God: Sharing testimonies of healing and miracles honors God and acknowledges His power in our lives. Encouraging Others: Testimonies strengthen the faith of other believers, showing them that God is active and present in our lives. Celebrating God’s Power: Miracles are extraordinary events that showcase God’s power. Celebrating these moments reflects our appreciation and reverence for His works. Inspiring Personal Miracles: Witnessing and celebrating miracles can inspire faith and expectancy for personal breakthroughs and blessings.
Faith as a Seed: Your faith and praise contribute to the overall faith atmosphere in the church, which can positively influence others’ spiritual experiences. In summary, following and serving your pastor with dedication and support, along with celebrating and sharing testimonies of God’s miracles, enhance our spiritual community and glorify God.
Prayer Declaration: “Lord, help me to faithfully follow and serve my pastor, and to celebrate Your miracles with joy and gratitude. Amen.”

Sabotaging vs. Betrayal
Bible Reading: 2 Samuel 5:1-23
“So I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near.” — 2 Timothy 4:6 (NIV)
Sabotage and betrayal, though closely related, are distinct actions with different implications. Sabotage involves deliberately undermining or obstructing a process, relationship, or goal in a subtle manner. Betrayal, on the other hand, is the act of violating someone’s trust outright. Both actions can have devastating effects, but understanding their differences helps in addressing and preventing them effectively. Loyalty is the antidote to both sabotage and betrayal. It involves being committed and devoted to a person, organization, or cause. True loyalty means standing by someone’s side and supporting their goals, rather than seeking to undermine or harm them.
Several factors contribute to sabotaging behaviors: Jealousy and resentment can lead to subtle acts of sabotage. This is seen in the story of Absalom’s rebellion against his father David (2 Samuel 17:1-23), where jealousy and personal grievances fueled destructive actions. Fear of change can cause individuals to sabotage efforts that threaten the status quo. This fear of the unknown may lead them to undermine new initiatives or processes. A desire for power can drive people to sabotage others to advance their own agendas. This desire often leads to manipulation and deceitful actions. Insecurity and a competitive mindset can provoke sabotage as individuals seek to protect their position or undermine perceived rivals.A sense of entitlement can lead individuals to sabotage others to achieve what they believe they rightfully deserve.Understanding these factors helps us recognize and address sabotaging behaviors effectively. As followers of Christ, we are called to exemplify loyalty, support others genuinely, and resist the temptations to undermine or betray.
Prayer Declaration: “Lord, help me to embody loyalty and integrity, resisting jealousy and betrayal in all my relationships. Amen.”

Dedicating Yourself Despite All Sorrow
Bible Reading: 1 Thessalonians 5 :1-28
“Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:12 (NIV)
Dedication involves a deep commitment to a task, service, or purpose, even in the face of sorrow and challenges. It’s about prioritizing God’s will over personal preferences and remaining steadfast in your responsibilities. Man was created not merely for pleasure but for purpose. Embracing this purpose involves recognizing that God’s calling on your life is more fulfilling and rewarding than any worldly job. In times of difficulty, remember that God’s rewards surpass earthly benefits. Following those ahead of you and adhering to their guidance is essential in your journey of dedication. By respecting and learning from mentors who have walked the path before you, you gain valuable insights and encouragement. Their example can inspire and guide you through your own challenges.
In dedication, you prioritize God’s will, even when it diverges from your own desires. This means aligning your actions with His plans and remaining committed to His purposes. To remain dedicated despite sorrow, consider these practices: Love What Your Mentor Loves: Share the passions and values of those who guide you. This alignment will deepen your commitment and strengthen your resolve. Commitment: Dedicate yourself fully to your tasks and responsibilities. Consistency and perseverance are key, even when faced with trials.
Evangelism: Embrace the call to share the gospel. Dedication to evangelism demonstrates your commitment to God’s mission and brings hope to others. Recognize the Reward: Remember that there is a crown for every laborer. Your efforts and dedication are not in vain but are honored by God. In summary, dedicating yourself despite sorrow involves aligning with God’s will, following the example of mentors, and maintaining commitment through challenges. Embrace your purpose with love and perseverance, knowing that God rewards your faithfulness.
Prayer Declaration: “Lord, strengthen my dedication to Your will and purpose, even in times of sorrow, and guide me to faithfully follow Your path. Amen.”

Topic: GOD’S PRAISE
Text: John 12: 42-50
Memory Verse: “For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God” John 12:43
THE PRAISE OF MEN: John 12:42-46, Luke 12:8,9, Rom 2:29
We should not allow the fear of men to deprive us of salvation, righteousness, holiness, heaven and eternal life. As believers, we should get rid of fear from our lives and make up our minds to get to heaven. We should emulate Daniel who purposed in his heart not to defile himself with the portion of the King’s meat. We cannot accomplish God’s purpose on earth if we are not courageous to take right decisions that will affect our destiny and that of others.
Saul had a crown to keep and to preserve but he feared the people and lost everything. The fear of God and absolute obedience to His Word will make us escape His impending judgment.
The Pharisees loved the praise of men more than the praise of God”. They wanted the praise of men and it hindered them from getting into the Kingdom of God. What should be uppermost in our hearts is the praise of God and not men. Anyone who seeks the praise of men will lack the conviction and courage to stand. To enjoy God’s praise, you must believe in Christ, maintain a life of righteousness, make restitution and be willing to stand and live by His Word.
HIS COMMANDMENT: John 12:47-50, Ps 119:89, Matt 24:35
There is a final day, the judgment day, when the Lord will examine our lives to see whether our faith, behavior and actions match with our knowledge and learning.
Jesus did not allow Peter, His own disciple to derail Him. Rather, He stood on the Word. And the same conviction and faithfulness that Jesus had, He brings to us today. We must have the strength, grace, authority and conviction. We must stand firm on the Word of God and never compromise because “His commandment is for everlasting”
Therefore, abandon your desire and that of those around you and be willing to do the will of God alone. To be a faithful disciple of Christ, you must do the things that please Him and His Word to be settled in your heart just as it is ‘settled in heaven”.

POWER IN HIS INSTRUCTION
Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice of Gold. Proverbs 8:10
Spiritual instruction may come to you in the most unexpected or usual way but be prompt to obey. Never try to rationalize spiritual instruction with your mind; the wisdom of God is foolishness to men. Consider the Lord’s instruction to Joshua for instance. After the death of Moses, God instructed Joshua to take over and subdue Jericho in (Josh 6:2-5).From the natural stand point, God’s instruction was an impossible feat for Joshua and the children of Israel. The thickness of the walls of Jericho was such that houses were built on them. But Joshua followed the Lord instructions and the result was victory for the children of Israel. Our opening verse says to receive instruction and not silver. The word of God is God’s instruction manual for an extraordinary life of glory, dominion and victory; so don’t neglect the word. Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life” (Proverbs 4:13). Be conscious of this when responsibilities are given you especially in the house of God.
Question
How do you keep to the instruction of the Lord?

Pursuing Holistic Health
Bible Reading: Mark 4:1-41
“Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, ‘Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?’” - Mark 4:38 (NIV)
Health encompasses more than just the absence of illness; it is a state of complete physical, social, and mental well-being. Mark 4:38 highlights Jesus’ calm presence during the storm, reminding us of the importance of peace and well-being even amid life’s trials.Holistic health involves several dimensions: Physical Health: This pertains to the condition of your body and its ability to perform daily activities. Maintaining physical health involves regular exercise, a balanced diet, and adequate rest. Emotional Health: This refers to the capacity to manage and express feelings effectively. Emotional health is crucial for overall well-being and involves understanding and processing your emotions constructively. Social Health: This is about maintaining healthy relationships and social interactions. Positive social connections contribute to a sense of belonging and support.
Intellectual Health: This involves mental stimulation and continuous learning. Engaging in activities that challenge your mind helps keep you sharp and informed. Spiritual Health: This dimension focuses on your relationship with God and your sense of purpose. Spiritual health provides inner peace and direction, much like Jesus’ calm in the storm. Several factors affect our health, including hereditary conditions, lifestyle choices, and diet. To promote holistic health, consider these tips: Avoid Stress: Manage stress through relaxation techniques and finding balance in life. Avoid Anxiety: Practice mindfulness and seek support to address anxiety. Avoid Worry: Trust in God’s provision and guidance to alleviate unnecessary worry. Avoid Excess Sugar: Maintain a balanced diet to support physical health. Learn to Sleep on Time: Prioritize quality sleep for overall well-being. Go for Regular Check-Ups: Regular medical check-ups help prevent and address health issues early.
In summary, pursuing holistic health involves caring for your physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual well-being. Follow these tips to support your health and trust in God’s peace and provision through all aspects of life.
Prayer Declaration: “Lord, help me to nurture my health in every aspect and find peace in You amidst life’s challenges. Amen.”

Partnering with Your Pastor
Bible Reading: 1 Corinthians 3:1-23
“We are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.” - 1 Corinthians 3:9 (NIV)
Partnering with your pastor is a vital aspect of supporting the vision and goals of your church. It involves actively working together to advance the ministry and fulfill God’s purpose. Just as Paul and his fellow workers collaborated to spread the gospel and strengthen the church, we are called to support our pastors in their mission. Reasons to Partner: Fulfilling God’s Vision: By partnering with your pastor, you contribute to realizing the vision God has given the church. This collaboration ensures that the ministry aligns with God’s plans and purpose.
Strengthening the Ministry: Your support helps to fortify the ministry, enabling it to grow and reach more people. This collective effort strengthens the church’s impact and effectiveness.
Spreading the Gospel: Working together with your pastor aids in the dissemination of the gospel message. Each partnership plays a role in reaching others with the good news of Christ.
Building a Stronger Community: Partnership fosters a sense of unity and belonging within the church. It helps to build a stronger, more cohesive community of believers.
Personal Growth and Blessings: Engaging in partnership not only supports the church but also leads to personal spiritual growth and blessings. Your involvement enriches your faith journey and invites God’s favor.
Ways to Support Your Pastor Financially: Regular Tithing: Consistent tithing ensures that the church’s needs are met and supports the pastor’s work. Personal Gifts: Offering personal gifts to your pastor demonstrates appreciation and aids in their personal support. Benefits: Blessing the Work of Your Hands: By supporting your pastor, God blesses your efforts and endeavors, honoring your commitment to His work. Divine Protection and Favor: God’s protection and favor rest upon those who faithfully support and partner with His servants. In summary, partnering with your pastor involves working together to fulfill God’s vision, strengthen the ministry, spread the gospel, build community, and experience personal growth. Financial support through tithing and personal gifts enhances this partnership, bringing blessings and divine favor.
Prayer Declaration: “Lord, guide me to partner with my pastor faithfully, supporting the ministry and experiencing Your blessings and favor. Amen.”

Embracing Willingness and Loyalty
Bible Reading: 1 Corinthians 15:1-58
“Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” — 1 Corinthians 15:58 (NIV)
Willingness and loyalty are crucial qualities for serving God effectively. To fulfill God’s calling in your life, you must approach His work with a heart full of willingness and steadfast loyalty. Willingness to Work for God: True service begins with a willing heart. To work for God, you must be eager and ready to take on the tasks He sets before you. This willingness involves embracing the work with enthusiasm and a positive attitude, knowing that your efforts contribute to His greater purpose.
Executing Your Talent: Each person is endowed with unique talents and skills. Utilizing these gifts in service to God is an act of obedience and dedication. Your talents, whether they are in teaching, leading, or supporting others, should be actively employed in advancing God’s kingdom. Loyalty in Service: Loyalty means remaining steadfast and committed to God’s work, even when faced with challenges or discouragement. It involves being faithful to the mission He has entrusted to you and continuing to serve with integrity and dedication. In summary, a heart willing to work for God and a commitment to utilizing your talents are essential for effective service. Embrace your role with enthusiasm, stay loyal to God’s calling, and trust that your labor in His service is valuable and meaningful. Willingness to work for God with a loyal heart brings abundant rewards. Your dedication in serving God attracts divine favor and opens doors of blessing. Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord… You will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward.” Serving faithfully strengthens your relationship with God, aligns you with His purpose, and brings lasting benefits both in this life and in eternity. Your loyalty yields spiritual and material blessings!
Prayer Declaration: “Lord, grant me a willing heart and steadfast loyalty in serving You, fully dedicating my talents to Your work. Amen.”

Serving God Despite Challenges, Business, and Family
Bible Reading: Psalm 24
“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.” - Psalm 24:1 (NIV)
Serving God, despite facing challenges from business, family, or personal struggles, requires dedication and resilience. True service to God involves working diligently and sacrificially, even when circumstances are difficult. Service in God’s house is a form of worship and sacrifice, reflecting our commitment to His will. Implications for Serving God in Tough Situations: Have Faith: Just as Job demonstrated unwavering faith despite immense suffering (Job 1:1-4), we are called to trust God even in challenging times. Faith empowers us to persevere and continue serving Him, knowing that He is in control of all aspects of our lives. Commitment: Being committed means prioritizing your service to God amidst your responsibilities. This commitment involves consistent effort and dedication, showing that your service is not swayed by the pressures of business or family.
Heart of Gratitude: Cultivate a heart of gratitude by recognizing and appreciating God’s blessings, even when facing difficulties. Gratitude shifts our focus from problems to God’s goodness, enhancing our ability to serve Him joyfully. Put Faith into Practice: It’s time for us to translate our faith into action. Serving God involves applying our beliefs in practical ways, demonstrating our trust through our actions and sacrifices. In summary, serving God despite business and family challenges requires a combination of faith, commitment, gratitude, and practical application of your beliefs. By focusing on these aspects, you honor God through your service, even in the face of adversity.
Prayer Declaration: “Lord, grant me the faith, commitment, and gratitude needed to serve You faithfully despite any challenges I face. Amen.”

Stand Firm in Faith
Bible Reading: Isaiah 40:1-31
Bible Reading: Memory Verse: "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength" (Isaiah 40:31, NIV).
In today's world, we often face challenges that test our faith. Whether it's personal struggles, professional hurdles, or societal pressures, standing firm in faith can seem daunting. However, the Word of God reminds us that our strength and shield come from the Lord. Isaiah 40 speaks powerfully about God's sovereignty and the renewal of strength for those who place their hope in Him. Verse 31 particularly stands out: "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength." This promise assures us that our reliance on God is not in vain. When we are weary, God renews our energy. When we are uncertain, He provides guidance.
Trusting in God's unfailing love is key to navigating life's uncertainties. His love is steadfast, and His promises are true. Remember that being bold in our faith means actively choosing to trust God's plan, even when we cannot see the whole picture. Standing firm in faith brings hope through unwavering trust in God's promises and His plan for your life. It strengthens your resolve, provides comfort during trials, and ensures you are never alone. Today, let your heart be anchored in the hope that comes from knowing God is with you. Stand firm in your faith, knowing that He is your strength and shield. Embrace the boldness that comes from the certainty of His promises. No matter the challenges you face, God will help you renew your strength. Trust in God's power and love, and He will provide you with the resilience to overcome any obstacle.
Prayer Point: "Lord, strengthen my faith and guide my path according to Your unfailing love. Amen."

Strive To Enter
Bible Reading: Luke 13:1-35
Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. Luke 13:24
Jesus exhorts his listeners to "strive to enter in at the strait gate", using a Greek word that implies agonizing struggle.
Many will seek to enter the narrow door to salvation, but will not be able to. This suggests that simply desiring to be saved is not enough - one must make every effort to turn from sin and follow God wholeheartedly. Salvation is the deliverance from sin and its consequences, achieved through faith in Jesus Christ. It grants believers eternal life, reconciles them with God, and brings spiritual renewal. Salvation encompasses forgiveness, redemption, and the promise of a restored relationship with God, offering hope and assurance of divine grace.
The passage also implies that there is a limited window of opportunity. Jesus speaks of a master who will eventually shut the door, after which it will be too late for those outside to enter. This underscores the urgency of responding to God's call without delay. Those who fail to enter will be left out in weeping and anguish, while others from all over the world take their places in God's kingdom. This hints at the reversal of expectations - those who thought they were first may end up last, while the last become first.
Salvation requires a wholehearted, persevering effort to turn from sin and enter through the narrow gate that leads to life. Being born again offers a renewed sense of purpose and a fresh start, enabling spiritual growth and a deeper connection with God. It brings forgiveness, inner peace, and the promise of eternal life, transforming one's outlook and fostering a life guided by faith and hope.
Prayer Point
Lord, give me mercy and Grace so that I will make it at the last day.

Trusting in God's Way: A Lesson from Moses
Numbers 20:1-29
Memory Verse: "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding." - Proverbs 3:5 (NIV)
In our lives, we often face situations where we are tempted to rely on our own strength or understanding rather than fully trusting in God's guidance. Like Moses, we may act out of frustration or impatience, seeking immediate solutions instead of patiently waiting on God's timing. Moses expresses frustration and anger towards the Israelites when he addresses them as "rebels." This outburst occurs after God instructs Moses to speak to the rock in order to bring forth water for the people. Instead of obeying, Moses strikes the rock twice with his staff. His actions reveal a moment of impatience and disobedience, as he acts out of frustration rather than following God's specific command. Despite Moses' disobedience, water still miraculously gushes forth from the rock, demonstrating God's provision and mercy. However, Moses' failure to obey God's command fully has consequences, as it ultimately leads to him being prevented from entering the promised land.
Let us reflect on Moses' mistake and commit ourselves to trust in God's wisdom and timing, even when circumstances seem unclear or challenging. May we learn to surrender our will to His, knowing that His plans are always for our ultimate good. Just as Moses' lack of trust prevented him from entering the promised land, let us not allow doubt or impatience to hinder us from experiencing the fullness of God's blessings in our lives. As we gather in devotion today, let us seek to deepen our trust in the Lord, acknowledging His sovereignty and faithfulness. May we be obedient to His word, knowing that in doing so, we will experience the abundant provision and fulfillment of His promises.
Prayer Point: Help us, Lord, to trust in your ways and obey your instructions wholeheartedly.
July 4
Healing Through Obedience
Bible Reading: Numbers 21:1-35
Memory Verse: "The LORD is my healer." - Exodus 15:26 (NIV)
The Israelites, wandering in the wilderness, grumble against God and Moses, facing the consequences of their disobedience. In response, God sends venomous snakes among them, and many are bitten and dying. Recognizing their sin, the people cry out to Moses for help.
Moses intercedes for the people, and God provides a solution: a bronze snake mounted on a pole. Those who look upon the bronze snake will be healed and spared from death. This act of obedience, looking up to the symbol of God's provision, brings about physical healing and restoration. This passage mirrors the reality of our own lives. Just as the Israelites faced consequences for their disobedience, we too experience the effects of sin in our lives. However, God's mercy and grace are ever-present, offering us a path to healing and restoration through obedience and faith.
In moments of struggle and despair, it can be easy to lose sight of God's goodness and provision. Like the Israelites, we may find ourselves wandering in the wilderness of doubt and disobedience, facing the consequences of our actions. Yet, even in our darkest moments, God offers us a way out—a way to healing and restoration. The bronze snake lifted up on the pole serves as a powerful symbol of God's provision and redemption. It reminds us that no matter how far we may have strayed, God is always ready to extend His hand of mercy and offer us a path to healing. All we need to do is look up and trust in His unfailing love.
Prayer Point: Lord, help us to look to You in times of trouble and trust in Your healing power.

Unstoppable Blessings: Trusting in God's Promise
Bible Reading: Isaiah 54:1-17
Memory Verse: "No weapon formed against you shall prosper." - Isaiah 54:17a (NKJV)
In Numbers 23:20-21, we witness the powerful declaration of Balaam, a prophet hired to curse the Israelites but ultimately compelled by God to bless them. Despite the efforts of Balak, the king who sought to thwart God's plans, Balaam declares, "No misfortune is observed in Jacob, no misery is seen in Israel. The LORD their God is with them; the shout of the King is among them."
This passage serves as a profound reminder that when God has ordained blessings for His people, no human effort can stand in the way. Even when others may plot against us or try to hinder our progress, God's favor and protection surround us like a shield.
Just as Balak's attempts to curse the Israelites were futile in the face of God's blessing, so too are the efforts of those who oppose us powerless against the favor and protection of our Heavenly Father. When God has ordained blessings for His children, no force on earth can hinder His plans or derail His purposes.
As we meditate on this truth, let us be encouraged to trust in God's promises and remain steadfast in our faith, knowing that He who is for us is greater than any who may be against us. No matter what challenges we may face, we can rest assured that God is with us, and His blessings will ultimately prevail. If you serve God in truth and sincerity, remember that no one can hinder the blessings destined for you. Stay faithful and steadfast, trusting that God's plan for you is greater than any obstacle. Continue to act with integrity, keep your faith strong, and rely on God's timing and wisdom, knowing that your devotion will be rewarded in due time.
Prayer Point: Lord, help us to trust in Your unfailing promises and stand firm in Your blessings.

The Impact of Sin on the Land’s Progress
"Even the land was defiled; so I punished it for its sin, and the land vomited out its inhabitants." Leviticus 18:25
Bible Reading: Jeremiah 12:1-17
Sin has profound effects not only on individuals but also on the land they inhabit. The Bible provides numerous examples demonstrating how the iniquity of the people leads to the land's desolation and stagnation.
In Leviticus 18:24-28, God warns Israel not to defile themselves as the nations before them did, which led to the land vomiting out its inhabitants. This passage underscores that the land itself can be defiled by human sin, leading to dire consequences.
In Jeremiah 12:4prophet Jeremiah links the land's barrenness directly to the wickedness of its people, showing that environmental degradation is a consequence of moral and spiritual corruption.
In “Haggai 1:9-11”, the Lord declares a drought on the fields and mountains as a result of the people's neglect of His house. This teaches us that neglecting God’s house, commands and priorities can lead to a withholding of blessings, causing the land to become unproductive and barren. By understanding and addressing the spiritual and moral dimensions of our actions, we can contribute to the progress and prosperity of the land we inhabit.
Conversely, repentance and righteous living bring healing and restoration. **2 Chronicles 7:14** promises, "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
Prayer Point:
"Lord, help us to live righteously and heal our land from sin's consequences."

Topic: LIGHT OF THE WORLD
Text: John 8: 12-30
Memory Verse: “Then spoke Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world, he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life” John 8:12
CHRIST; THE LIGHT: John 8:43, Matt 13:14,15; Acts 7:25,51
Jesus taught the congregation about God the Father, heaven and eternity. Yet, they did not understand whom He spoke about. He also hinted that He would go back to the Father and if they are not born again, they will not be able to come to where He was going. They conversed with Him but were not converted by Him. Jesus’ words were easy to understand but the Pharisees hardened their hearts and could not receive the truth. That is the problem with people who come with hardened hearts. They cannot submit to the Word of God.
They understood with their heads but their hearts were never yielded to the Lord. Like the Pharisees, many hear the Word of God every time yet remain unchanged and without understanding. Some people go through pain in life without knowing that salvation, healing and deliverance are some of God’s promises they can enjoy.
The reason is their” heart is waxed gross and their ears dull of hearing and their eyes they have closed”. Although such people are religious and regular at church services, they rebel against God, the truth, the salvation of their soul, heaven, revelation and their eternal happiness. The Jews used religion, their tradition, stubbornness and evil intentions to work against themselves.
RIGHTEOUSNESS OF CHRIST: John 8:28-30, Matt 3:17, Heb 11:5
The message of the cross is the message of salvation. When this message is preached among sinners, Christ draws them to Himself. He spoke about His crucifixion, worthiness and character. The worthiness and righteousness of Christ is that He pleased the Father in all things. As children of God, we should constantly weigh every action to see if they please and glorify the Father or not. Many people do evil repeatedly without paying heed to God’s Word. But Christ said, “I can of mine own self do nothing’. He pleased His Father who testified concerning Him. When we please God in everything we do, it means we are ready for the rapture.
Christ is the only Savior, the Way and the Light. He is the Shepherd and Bishop of our soul. He is the Teacher come from heaven. He is the gracious giver of eternal life. He is the Power of God. He is the Sustainer of the believer. God the Father acknowledged Him; the angels announced Him; the prophets prophesied about Him for centuries before He came.

The Value of True Friendship and Family Support
Bible Reading: Proverbs 17:1-28
Memory Verse: “Proverbs 17:17 (EASY): "A friend will always show that he loves you. Relatives are there to help you when you are in trouble."
A friend is someone with whom you share a mutual bond of affection, trust, and support. Friends often enjoy each other's company, provide emotional support, and engage in activities together. True friendship involves loyalty, understanding, and a willingness to help one another through life's challenges. Friendship is a reflection of Christ's love for us. Jesus Himself said in **John 15:13**, "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends." This ultimate act of love underscores the profound value of true friendship. A friend who loves at all times is someone who remains steadfast and loyal, mirroring the unchanging love of Christ.
Family, on the other hand, provides a safety net in times of adversity. In the book of **Ruth**, we see a poignant example of familial support. Naomi, in her distress, receives unwavering loyalty and support from her daughter-in-law Ruth. Ruth's declaration, "Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay" (Ruth 1:16), exemplifies the depth of commitment that family can offer during difficult times.
The Bible also teaches us about the strength and support found in unity. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 states, "Two are better than one... If either of them falls down, one can help the other up." This principle applies both to friendships and family relationships, highlighting the importance of having dependable people in our lives. By fostering these relationships, we reflect God's love and create a supportive community that honors Him.
In conclusion, let us cherish and nurture our friendships and family bonds. They are God-given sources of love, support, and strength, especially in challenging times.
Question: How can you be a loving friend and a supportive family member in all circumstances?

The Role of Obedience in Making the Land Fruitful
Bible Reading: Deuteronomy 28:1-14
And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: Deuteronomy 28:1
To obey means to follow commands, instructions, or guidelines set by an authority figure or a set of rules. It involves acting in accordance with directions given, demonstrating respect, and compliance. In a broader sense, obedience reflects a commitment to uphold principles, laws, or moral codes, often seen as a sign of discipline and respect for authority. The Bible provides profound insights into how obedience, divine provision, repentance, and spiritual vitality contribute to the fruitfulness of the land. These principles are intertwined, demonstrating that the physical prosperity of the land is deeply connected to the spiritual health of its inhabitants.
Divine provision is evident in Psalm 65:9-13, which describes God's care for the land: "You care for the land and water it; you enrich it abundantly. The streams of God are filled with water to provide the people with grain." This passage highlights that it is ultimately God who makes the land fruitful, providing rain and fertility.
Repentance plays a critical role in restoring the land's fruitfulness. 2 Chronicles 7:14** states, "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." When people turn back to God, He responds with forgiveness and healing, leading to renewed prosperity.
Spiritual vitality is crucial for sustaining the land's fruitfulness. **John 15:5** emphasizes the importance of remaining in Christ: "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." Spiritual vitality ensures continuous blessing and productivity. By adhering to these biblical principles, we can ensure that our land remains fruitful and blessed.
Prayer Point: "Lord, guide us in obedience, grant provision, inspire repentance, and sustain our spiritual vitality."

Total Love for God: The Path to Fulfilled Destiny
Bible Reading:** Deuteronomy 6:1-25
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength" (Deuteronomy 6:5, NIV).
Loving God wholeheartedly is essential for a life filled with purpose, fulfillment, and well-being. Prioritizing our love for God impacts every aspect of our lives in profound ways.
Loving God with all our heart, soul, and strength deepens our spiritual connection with Him, providing inner peace, joy, and contentment that endure through life’s challenges. Engaging in His Word and prayer strengthens our faith and offers a stable foundation.
God's unconditional love helps us navigate feelings of inadequacy, fear, and anxiety, promoting mental and emotional resilience. This divine love instills a sense of worth and purpose.
Spiritual practices like prayer and meditation improve physical health by reducing stress and lowering blood pressure. Aligning our lives with God's principles encourages healthier choices, contributing to overall well-being.
A deep love for God influences how we treat others, teaching us to love our neighbors as ourselves. This fosters compassion, forgiveness, and kindness, creating harmony in our families, workplaces, and communities.
Loving God fully aligns us with His divine purpose, ensuring we walk in His plans, which are for our good and His glory. Following His guidance allows us to fulfill our unique destinies and leave a positive impact on the world. Total love for God transforms our lives, enhancing spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being, improving relationships, and aligning us with our destiny. By loving Him with all our heart, soul, and strength, we experience the fullness of life He intends for us.
Prayer Point: "Lord, help me to love You with all my heart, soul, and strength, and guide me to live out Your purpose. Amen."

Sacrificial Love for All
Bible Reading: Luke 6:1-49
Memory Verse: "But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High" (Luke 6:35, NIV).
Jesus exemplified this kind of love through His life and teachings. It's natural to love those who are close to us—our friends and family. However, sacrificial love goes beyond just affection; it involves putting their needs above our own. It means making time for them, listening to their concerns, and supporting them in their struggles, even when it’s inconvenient. Jesus taught us to love one another just as He loved us (John 13:34), setting the ultimate example of selflessness.
Loving those who have wronged us is perhaps the greatest challenge of sacrificial love. Jesus’ command to love our enemies (Luke 6:27) seems counterintuitive, but it is a powerful testament to the transformative power of love. When we choose to forgive and bless those who hurt us, we break the cycle of hatred and bitterness. This doesn't mean we ignore the pain they caused, but we release it to God, allowing His love to heal us and, potentially, them.
When we practice sacrificial love, we mirror God’s unconditional love to the world. It brings healing to our relationships, fosters a sense of community, and exemplifies the Gospel in action. This love is not based on what we receive in return but is an overflow of the love we have received from God. Sacrificial love requires humility, patience, and a heart surrendered to God. It is through loving our friends, family, and even our enemies that we truly reflect Christ’s love.
Prayer Point: "Lord, grant me the grace to love sacrificially, extending Your love to friends, family, and those who have hurt me. Amen."

Fighting the Good Fight of Faith
Bible Reading: Ephesians 6:1-24
Memory Verse: "Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses."— 1 Timothy 6:12 (NIV)
In our spiritual journey, we are constantly in a battle against the forces of darkness. The apostle Paul reminds us of this reality in Ephesians 6:10-18, urging us to put on the full armor of God. This spiritual armor equips us to stand firm against the schemes of the devil and fight the good fight of faith.
The Christian life is not a passive one; it requires vigilance, perseverance, and a deep reliance on God’s strength. To combat the enemy and the powers of darkness, we must be proactive in our spiritual warfare. Paul describes the armor as comprising the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Each piece represents a crucial aspect of our defense and offense in spiritual warfare.
Truth grounds us, righteousness protects our hearts, peace steadies our steps, faith deflects the enemy's attacks, salvation secures our minds, and the word of God empowers our actions. Together, these elements fortify us against spiritual attacks and enable us to stand firm."Holding fast to your faith" emphasizes maintaining strong and unwavering belief, especially during challenging times. An example from the Bible is found in Hebrews 10:23: "Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful." This encourages believers to remain steadfast in their faith, trusting in God's promises.
To fight a good warfare, we must also commit ourselves to constant prayer and watchfulness. Prayer is our lifeline to God, providing the strength and guidance needed in our battles. By staying connected to Him, we ensure that we are fighting with His power, not our own.
Prayer Points: O Lord, equip me with Your full armor daily to combat spiritual attacks.

Be Ready for the Day of the Lord
Bible Reading: 1 Thessalonians 5:1-28
"For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night."— 1 Thessalonians 5:2 (NKJV)
The Bible repeatedly emphasizes the unexpected nature of the Lord’s return. In 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11, the Apostle Paul warns believers that the day of the Lord will come "as a thief in the night." This metaphor vividly illustrates the suddenness and surprise of Christ's return, underscoring the necessity for
constant readiness.
As Christians, our lives should reflect an ongoing preparation for this glorious event. We are called to live in a state of spiritual alertness and moral purity. Paul encourages us to be "sons of light" and "sons of the day," walking in the light of God’s truth and righteousness. This entails living out our faith with sincerity, avoiding complacency and spiritual slumber.
To prepare, immerse yourself in God’s Word, engage in regular prayer, and maintain fellowship with other believers. These spiritual disciplines cultivate a heart that is vigilant and sensitive to God’s leading. Additionally, strive to embody Christ’s love and grace in your daily interactions, serving as a beacon of hope and light to those around you. Prepare for the second coming of the Lord because if you are not ready and you miss the rapture and you might be cast into hell fire. The unpredictability of the Lord’s return should not incite fear but rather inspire a holy anticipation and a diligent pursuit of godliness. Let every moment be an opportunity to grow closer to God and to reflect His love and truth. By doing so, you ensure that when the day of the Lord arrives, you will be found ready and faithful.
Prayer Point: "Lord, help me live in constant readiness for Your return, walking in light and truth."

Drawing Others to Christ Through God's Love
Bible Reading: 2 Corinthians 5:1-21
A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another."— John 13:34 (NIV)
As believers, we are called to be ambassadors for Christ, representing Him and His kingdom in our daily lives. One of the most powerful tools we have in this mission is the love of God. Jesus taught us that loving others as He loves us is the hallmark of being His disciples (John 13:34).
In 2 Corinthians 5:17-21, Paul reminds us of the ministry of reconciliation we have received. Through Christ, we have been reconciled to God and are now entrusted with the message of reconciliation. This means that our lives should reflect God's love and grace, drawing others to Him. Loving others authentically, selflessly, and unconditionally opens doors to share the gospel. When people see the love of Christ in action, they become curious about the source of that love. Our acts of kindness, compassion, and service can break down barriers and build bridges to the hearts of those who are lost. Inviting others to your church assembly is a natural extension of this love. It provides a community where they can experience God's love, learn more about His Word, and grow in their faith. Be intentional about building relationships and extending invitations to friends, family, and even strangers. Your genuine love and concern for their spiritual well-being can make a significant impact.
Assignment:
This week, identify at least three people you can reach out to with acts of love and kindness. Look for opportunities to serve them, listen to them, and share your testimony. Invite them to join you at your church assembly, offering to accompany them and introduce them to others. Reflect on how these actions demonstrate the love of God and prepare to share your experiences with your small group or church community.

Topic: KNOW THE TRUTH
Text: John 8: 12-44
Memory Verse: “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” John 8:32
THE SAVING TRUTH: John 8:12-18, Matt 4:15-17, Rom 13:11-14
Christ wants everyone to know that He is the Light of the world. Without Him, we will be in utter darkness. He is the “Light that lighten every man that cometh into the world”. He is the Son of righteousness that shines and brings hope and life eternal to many who believe in Him. But instead of walking in the light, many are busy waging war against the Light. They dislike the light of Christ and derive joy in darkness. They oppose the Light and eventually damn their souls in eternal darkness.
Christians should live a life that reflects Christ the Light and separate from those who “abide in darkness”. He has come to enlighten and show us the way that leads to life eternal. With Him, all the darkness of idolatry, religion, occultism, tradition and pagan culture are sponged out of our lives. The light in us should shine to those around us who still live and walk in darkness that they may see our works and thank God on our behalves. “Let your light so shine before man, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven” Matt 5:6.
ETERNAL TRUTH: John 8:19-27, Heb 2:1-3, 10:26-31
“I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins; for ye believe not that I am He, ye shall die in your sins”. Christ’s statement is a warning to all who have heard the Word of God and yet refuse to adhere. The punishment of such people is damnation in eternity. In Jesus’ day, He taught the people the most essential subject that would help them get to heaven, yet they did not understand. Christ the only Savior, greater than all men, stood before them and revealed God to them, yet they were without knowledge. He spoke to win, warn and woo them. Whoever does not believe in the mercy and salvation that He brings will die in darkness. Without salvation and forgiveness of sin, we cannot be where He is with the Father. We must give ears to eternal truth than earthly matters.
All the knowledge we pursue in this earth will one day perish but the one which takes us to life eternal salvation and holiness should not be neglected. If we have all the things of this life and miss heaven, “we are of all men most miserable”.
The lost must realize that if they refuse to repent, they will perish in hell. But if they repent and turn from their evil ways, God will forgive and receive them because He is not willing that any should perish. He is merciful yet He is angry with sinners every day.

REMEMBER YOUR CREATOR NOW
Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them; Eccl 12:1
Too much involvement in the activities of life can make one to forget the reality of eternity. There are many people today that live as if there is no end. Most people don’t prepare for eternity until it is too late. God is merciful, yet you cannot find God at every time.
When death comes, it will be too late to seek for God. Life is the time to seek God, to remember Him. If you waste the time you have in life, you have spoilt your eternity. Some don’t even want to hear anything about God, they can do everything except serving God. Don’t be deceived, life is terminal and everyone will give account to God. This is the time to remember God.
Be convinced about the issues of eternity. Let God occupy your heart and time. Do the work of an evangelist. Be conscious the way you live your life. Don’t lose sight of God. You need God. Don’t be deceived to believe that you can do without God. God is not an option. You were created for Him. A life outside Jesus is a wasted life.

How can we be free from the entanglement of this world?

Our Call to Evangelize and Support Church Growth
Bible Reading: Matthew 28:1-20
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."— Matthew 28:19 (ESV)
The Great Commission, given by Jesus in Matthew 28:18-20, calls us to make disciples of all nations. This mandate extends beyond our immediate circles to our neighborhoods and communities. Evangelism is not just a church activity; it is a personal responsibility for every believer.
Reaching out to our neighbors with the message of Christ is crucial. Many people live without hope, purpose, or the knowledge of God’s love. As Christians, we have experienced the transformative power of the gospel, and it is our duty to share this good news with others. Building relationships, showing genuine care, and living out our faith can open doors to meaningful conversations about Christ. Supporting church outreaches financially is another vital aspect of our commitment to evangelism. Outreach programs often require resources for materials, events, and support for missionaries. Our financial contributions can help organize crusades, provide for the needy, and support various ministry efforts.
Being concerned with church growth means investing our time, talents, and treasures in the body of Christ. By participating in outreach, volunteering, and supporting church initiatives, we contribute to the spiritual and numerical growth of our church community. Every believer has a role to play in the Great Commission. Whether through personal evangelism, financial support, or active involvement in church activities, we can all contribute to expanding God's kingdom. Let us be diligent in reaching out to see our churches flourish.
Assignment:
This week, identify a local outreach program your church supports and commit to participating in it. Share your experiences and encourage others to join you in these efforts.
Prayer Point: "Lord, give me a heart for my neighbors and a desire to support Your work through my resources."

The Blessings of Supporting God's House
Bible Reading: Haggai 1:1-15
"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms."— 1 Peter 4:10 (NIV)
Being actively involved in the progress and activities of God’s house brings profound blessings, both spiritually and materially. Haggai 1:7-14 illustrates the importance of prioritizing God's house, highlighting the blessings that follow when we invest our time, talents, and resources into His work.
First and foremost, supporting the church fosters spiritual growth. By volunteering and engaging in church activities, we deepen our relationship with God and develop our spiritual gifts. Involvement in the church also brings a sense of community and belonging. As we work alongside fellow believers, we build meaningful relationships that provide encouragement, accountability, and support. This fellowship strengthens our faith and creates a loving, unified body of Christ that can effectively reach out to the surrounding community.
Financial support and volunteering in church initiatives ensure the success of various ministries, from outreach programs to maintenance of church facilities. When we contribute our resources, we enable the church to fulfill its mission of spreading the gospel and serving the needy. Moreover, God promises to bless those who prioritize His kingdom. In Malachi 3:10, He challenges us to test Him in our giving, assuring us of overflowing blessings. These blessings can manifest in various forms, including spiritual enrichment, personal growth, and even material provisions. Being concerned with the progress of God’s house also aligns our hearts with God’s purposes, helping us to live out His will in our lives. By actively participating in the life of the church, we not only contribute to its success but also experience the abundant life that Jesus promised.
Prayer Point: "Lord, bless me as I dedicate myself to the progress and activities of Your house."

Choosing Wisely: God's Guidance in Marriage
Bible Reading: Proverbs 3:1-35
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."— Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
Choosing a life partner is one of the most significant decisions you will ever make. It impacts not only your personal happiness but also your spiritual journey and purpose. Firstly, seeking God's wisdom in this decision is crucial. Prayerfully ask God to reveal His will and to guide you to someone who shares your faith and values. A strong spiritual foundation is essential for a lasting and fulfilling marriage. When both partners are committed to Christ, they can support each other. Compatibility is another important factor. Look for someone who shares your vision, goals, and lifestyle preferences. Marriage involves a lot of day-to-day decisions and compromises, and having a partner who aligns with your values and aspirations makes this journey smoother.
Additionally, character and integrity should be at the forefront of your considerations. Choose someone who exhibits the fruits of the Spirit, such as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). These qualities are indicators of a heart transformed by Christ and are vital for a healthy, loving relationship.
It’s also wise to seek counsel from trusted mentors, family members, and friends who can provide valuable insights and perspectives. They can often see things that you might overlook and can offer godly advice based on their own experiences and understanding.
Lastly, be patient and trust God's timing. When God gives you someone spiritual do not use carnal reasons to refuse the person it result delay in marriage on the other hand Rushing into a decision can lead to mistakes, but waiting on the Lord allows Him to bring the right person into your life at the right time.

The Blessings of Obedience to God and Spiritual Mentors
Bible Reading: Hebrews 13:1-24
"Obey those who rule over you and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you."— Hebrews 13:17 (NKJV)
Obedience to God and to our spiritual mentors is crucial for attracting blessings and positively impacting our lives. Throughout Scripture, God’s blessings are often linked to our obedience and respect for authority. Obeying God aligns us with His will and purpose, opening the door for His blessings and protection. Deuteronomy 28:1-2 promises that if we diligently obey the Lord, blessings will come upon us. This obedience reflects our trust in God's wisdom and love, leading to a fruitful and fulfilling life. Honoring our spiritual mentors, such as pastors and spiritual fathers, brings additional blessings. Hebrews 13:17 instructs us to obey our leaders because they watch over our souls. Their guidance, wisdom, and prayers help us grow spiritually and navigate life’s challenges. By respecting and following their counsel, we create an environment of mutual joy and growth.
A biblical example is Elisha, who faithfully served and obeyed the prophet Elijah. His obedience was rewarded when he received a double portion of Elijah’s spirit (2 Kings 2:9-14). This blessing empowered Elisha to perform great miracles and serve God’s people effectively.
Obedience to spiritual authority reflects humility and a willingness to learn, fostering a culture of respect and growth within the church. Submitting to godly leadership helps us benefit from their wisdom and experience, guiding us toward our God-given potential.
In conclusion, obedience to God and our spiritual mentors attracts blessings, fosters growth, and ensures we are walking in God’s purpose, leading to a blessed and impactful life.
Prayer Point: "Lord, help me to obey Your will and respect my spiritual mentors, attracting Your blessings in my life."

Persevering Through Challenges with Hope
Bible Reading: Romans 8:1-39
"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us."— Romans 8:37 (NIV)
In the face of challenges, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and tempted to give up. However, as believers, we are called to persevere with unwavering faith and hope in God's promises. Though the road may be tough, success and victory are assured for those who trust in the Lord. Romans 8:37-39 reminds us that we are more than conquerors through Christ who loves us. This powerful assurance gives us the strength to press on, knowing that nothing can separate us from the love of God. Even in our darkest moments, we can find comfort in His unfailing presence and unwavering support.
No matter what challenges you're facing, remember that they are temporary. God is working behind the scenes, orchestrating every detail for your good and His glory. Overcoming Fear, Worry, and Anxiety
Bible Reading: Philippians 4:1-23
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God" (Philippians 4:6, NIV).
Fear, worry, and anxiety are powerful emotions that can hinder our effectiveness and block our ability to receive from God. These emotions disrupt our peace, cloud our judgment, and can lead to spiritual stagnation. Fear paralyzes us, preventing us from stepping out in faith and pursuing God's purposes. It causes us to doubt God's promises and capabilities, leading us to rely on our limited understanding rather than His infinite wisdom and power. Fear makes us miss opportunities that God places before us. Constant worry about the future or present circumstances shows a lack of trust in God's provision and timing. Jesus instructs us not to worry about our needs, assuring us that our Heavenly Father knows what we need and will provide (Matthew 6:25-34). Worry distracts us from focusing on God's work and diminishes our faith, essentially signaling a lack of trust in God's care.
Anxiety creates a barrier to experiencing God's peace. It keeps our hearts and minds restless, making it difficult to hear God's voice and direction. Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us to bring our anxieties to God through prayer and thanksgiving, allowing His peace to guard our hearts and minds. Anxiety can lead to physical and emotional exhaustion, further distancing us from God's presence and power. To receive from God, we must cultivate trust and surrender. By laying our fears, worries, and anxieties at Jesus' feet, we open ourselves to His peace and guidance. Trusting in God's sovereignty allows us to live boldly, confident that He is in control.
Prayer Point: "Lord, help me to overcome fear, worry, and anxiety, and to trust fully in Your provision and peace. Amen."

Topic: DOING GOD’S WILL
Text: John 8:31-47
Memory Verse: “If ye continue in My Word, then are ye My disciples indeed” John 8:31
STEADFAST CONTINUITY: John 8:31,32,36; Acts 2:42, 13:43; 2 Tim 3:12-14
The proof of being a genuine disciple of Christ is in the continuation. We do not behave and stop doing God’s will. There must be effort to continue doing His will. What Jesus said at that time He still says today because He is the same yesterday, today and forever. His Words ever remain constant. So, He wants us to continue steadfastly in His doctrine so that we can inherit eternal life.
This teaching of Christ nullifies the doctrine of eternal security being peddled by false preachers today. Those who refuse to continue with the Lord are not true disciples of His. The Lord wants us to guard our salvation experience jealously and continue to live with the consciousness of His abiding presence. He wants us to maintain an uncompromising stand and a tender heart to His Word. Those who discontinue obeying the Word of God risk missing heaven at last.
As children of God, our conviction should be firm irrespective of what the world offers or threatens. They may threaten to withdraw their help and persecute us, but we must remain steadfast in the Word.
As believers, it is our duty to continue to emphasize the truth for people to walk in it. But sinners who refuse to heed the truth will be damned because they heard the truth and did not believe. If the Word of God must benefit us, we must not allow anything to distract us from hearing and obeying it. Through steadfast believers, God can break every yoke, set sinners free and restore everyone who has gone back from following Him
LIVING IN DELUSION: John 8:33-36, Matt 7;19-23, Luke 23:1,2
The people were in bondage yet they claimed never to have been. They served many nations, they were slaves in Egypt, they were in bondage to the Babylonians and Roman governments, yet they lived in delusion and deception, they never allowed Christ to deliver them from their spiritual bondage, they needed salvation yet they remained in lies.
Many people claim to know the Lord even when they are yet to experience transformation of life. This attitude makes them loose the opportunity of getting saved. We must not relent in preaching the Word of God to such people despite their profession. They may occupy great positions but because they are servants of sins, whatever they bring to the house of God-money, donation and talent will be rejected.
Ultimately, unrepentant sinners will not inherit the Kingdom of God, they shall be banished into everlasting punishment in hell.

CONTROL THAT ANGER
Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry for anger resteth in the bosom of fools. Eccl 7:9
Another identity of a fool is anger. This is an uncontrollable outburst of emotion. Anger is the result of not being able to control one’s spirit. Circumstances around you should not control your emotion. Jesus, while on the cross, was insulted, maltreated and scorned, yet He did not become angry. He did not command fire and brimstone to come down upon His persecutors. He was able to control His persecutors. He was able to control His spirit. He is our perfect example (Phil 2:5-8) To be like Jesus is to be calm when insulted.
To be like Jesus is to bless people that persecute you. To be like Jesus is to refuse to be provoked by anyone or circumstance. Don’t confront those who oppose you. Neither should you allow hot nerves flow through your body. Learn how to calm down rage. Nothing destroyed public reputation like anger. Have you seen a man publicly beating his wife before? His neighbours don’t have the least respect for him. People that are not conscious of their personality behave anyhow. Some are ready to fight anywhere. Some can destroy valuables in the time of rage. Flee from anger.
Question
Is anger a contagious problem?

Overcoming Fear and Worry
Bible Reading: Matthew 6:25-34
"Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7, NIV).
Overcoming fear and worry requires a combination of faith, practical steps, and spiritual disciplines. Here are key strategies to help you manage and overcome these emotions:
Believing in God's promises is fundamental to overcoming fear and worry. The Bible is filled with assurances of God's provision, protection, and presence. Verses like Isaiah 41:10 ("Do not fear, for I am with you") remind us that we are not alone and that God is in control. Philippians 4:6-7 advises us to present our requests to God through prayer and thanksgiving. When we turn our worries into prayers, we invite God's peace into our hearts. Prayer shifts our focus from our problems to God's power and faithfulness. Regularly reading and meditating on God's Word strengthens our faith and provides comfort. Scriptures like Psalm 23 and Psalm 91 remind us of God's unwavering care and protection.
Cultivating a habit of gratitude helps shift our focus from what we lack to what we have. Keeping a gratitude journal can remind us of God's blessings and reduce feelings of fear and anxiety. Sharing our fears and worries with trusted friends, family, or a church community provides emotional support and encouragement. Others can pray for us and offer wisdom and perspective. Romans 12:2 encourages us to renew our minds. This involves replacing negative thoughts with God's truth. Practicing mindfulness and focusing on positive, God-centered thoughts can reduce anxiety. Addressing practical concerns can alleviate worry. This might include managing time effectively, setting realistic goals, or seeking professional help if needed.
Prayer Point: "Lord, help me to trust in Your promises, cast my worries on You, and embrace Your peace. Amen."

Tough Times Never Last
Bible Reading: James 1:
"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance" (James 1:2-3, NIV).
Life is filled with seasons of hardship and trials, but it is through these tough times that we discover our true strength and resilience. The Bible teaches us that trials are not meant to break us, but to build us up and refine our faith. James 1:2-4 encourages us to consider it joy when we face trials, knowing that these experiences test and strengthen our faith. Viewing challenges as opportunities for growth changes our perspective, helping us see beyond the immediate pain to the potential for personal and spiritual development.
In difficult times, our own strength may falter, but God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). By relying on God's power and seeking His guidance, we find the endurance needed to persevere. Prayer and trust in God's promises become our anchor in storms. Resilience is developed through perseverance. Romans 5:3-4 explains that suffering produces perseverance, which in turn builds character and hope. Each trial we endure equips us with greater strength and faith for future challenges. This cumulative growth shapes us into tough individuals who can withstand and overcome adversities.
God designed us to support one another. Sharing our burdens with trusted friends, family, or church members provides encouragement and practical help. The strength of community helps us to stay resilient and focused on victory. Keep the End Goal in Mind:
Tough times are temporary, but the character and strength developed through them are lasting. Keeping our eyes on the ultimate victory—eternal life with Christ—motivates us to endure and prevail. Hebrews 12:2 encourages us to fix our eyes on Jesus, who endured the cross for the joy set before Him.
Prayer Point: "Lord, strengthen me to embrace and persevere through trials, trusting in Your power and promises. Amen."

The Benefits of Working for God in Your Local Church
Bible Reading: 1 Peter 4:19
"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms" (1 Peter 4:10, NIV).
Volunteering and working for God in your local church bring numerous benefits that enhance spiritual growth, personal fulfillment, and communal strength. Here are key advantages of dedicating your time and talents to church service: Serving in the church deepens your relationship with God. Active participation in ministry allows you to apply biblical principles, fostering a better understanding of God's Word and His will. Roles such as teaching, worship leading, or helping with logistics provide opportunities for spiritual development.
Every believer has unique gifts (1 Peter 4:10). Volunteering allows you to discover and hone these talents. Whether in music, teaching, administration, or hospitality, using your abilities for God's work glorifies Him and enhances your skills.
Volunteering fosters a sense of belonging and community. It creates connections with fellow believers, building strong, supportive relationships. Working together toward common goals cultivates unity and camaraderie, forming a loving church family.
Your service can profoundly impact others. From mentoring youth to organizing outreach events, your efforts can lead to transformed lives and strengthened faith. Church ministries often provide direct opportunities to share the Gospel and make a positive difference in the community.
Serving others brings deep fulfillment, aligning your actions with your faith. Volunteering provides joy and satisfaction as you witness the tangible results of your labor and the advancement of God’s kingdom. Jesus came to serve, not to be served (Mark 10:45). By volunteering, you model Christ's servant-hearted nature.
Prayer Point: "Lord, help me to serve faithfully in my church, using my gifts to glorify You and build Your kingdom. Amen."

The need of loyalty to God
Bible Reading: Psalm 37:1-40
"Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart…." (Psalm 37:3-5, NIV).
Loyalty is the steadfast commitment and unwavering allegiance to someone or something. For a believer in Christ, loyalty means faithfully following Jesus, adhering to His teachings, and remaining devoted to Him through all circumstances.
Loyalty to Christ involves a deep, abiding commitment to Him. It’s not merely about attending church services or participating in religious activities but about living a life that reflects Christ's values and teachings. It means prioritizing our relationship with Him above all else, trusting Him completely, and remaining faithful in both good times and trials.
A loyal believer trusts in God's promises and plans. This trust is evident in our willingness to surrender our desires and plans to His will. As Psalm 37:5 instructs, committing our way to the Lord and trusting in Him is fundamental to living a loyal life.
Obedience is a key aspect of loyalty. Jesus said, "If you love me, keep my commands" (John 14:15, NIV). A loyal believer seeks to understand and follow God's commandments. Loyalty requires perseverance, especially during difficult times. Challenges and hardships test our faith, but a loyal believer remains steadfast. James 1:12 states, "Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him" (NIV).
Serving others is a practical expression of loyalty to Christ. Jesus modeled servant leadership, and we are called to follow His example. Acts of kindness, generosity, and love towards others demonstrate our commitment to living out Christ's teachings.
Prayer Point: "Lord, help me to be a loyal believer, trusting in Your plans, obeying Your Word, and serving others faithfully. Amen.

Serving One Another and God
Bible Reading: Mark 10:1-52
"Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all" (Mark 10:43, NIV).
Serving one another and the church involves selflessly meeting the needs of others, following the example of Jesus Christ. It requires humility, a willingness to put others first, and a commitment to use our gifts and talents for the greater good of the community.
Embracing humility is central to serving others. Jesus, though the Son of God, demonstrated humility by washing His disciples' feet, a task reserved for the lowest servants. His act exemplified that no act of service is beneath us, and true greatness in His kingdom comes from humble service (Mark 10:43-45).
Furthermore, serving entails utilizing our unique gifts and talents to benefit the community. Each believer is endowed with specific abilities by God, and serving in the church involves using these gifts for the common good (1 Peter 4:10). Whether through teaching, hospitality, administration, or encouragement, every contribution is essential for the body of Christ to function effectively.
Serving also fosters unity and community within the church. By working together and supporting one another, we strengthen our bonds and create a nurturing environment where faith can thrive. Acts of service, both big and small, contribute to building a loving and supportive church family.
Ultimately, serving reflects Christ's love to the world. When we serve others, we demonstrate Jesus' compassion and care, drawing others to Him. Jesus taught that it is more blessed to give than to receive (Acts 20:35). Through serving, we experience the joy and satisfaction that comes from making a positive difference in others' lives.
Prayer Point: "Lord, teach me to serve others with humility and love, following Your example, and help me to use my gifts to build up the church and glorify You. Amen."

Prophecy: A Gift of the Holy Spirit
Reading Bible 1 John 4:1-21
"Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world." - 1 John 4:1 (ESV)
Prophecy is a gift of the Holy Spirit that continues to be manifested in the Christian church today. The Bible teaches that prophecy is inspired by God and that true prophets speak the words of God.
Prophecy is a supernatural ability to receive and communicate messages from God. True prophecy always points people to God and His Word. The purpose of prophecy is to strengthen, encourage and comfort believers. It also serves to call people back to God and His commandments. Prophecy must be tested against the Bible, which is the ultimate standard of truth. If a prophecy contradicts Scripture, it is false. The prophetic gift will continue in the church until the second coming of Christ. The Bible promises that in the last days, God will pour out His Spirit and people will prophesy. Prophets receive prophecy through divine inspiration, visions, dreams, or angelic messengers. This communication is believed to be from a higher power or God, conveying guidance, warnings, or future events. Prophets often experience a deep sense of conviction and clarity, distinguishing these revelations from ordinary thoughts or dreams. In the Bible, the prophet Isaiah received a vision from God. Isaiah 6:1-8 describes how Isaiah saw the Lord sitting on a high and exalted throne, surrounded by seraphim. This profound vision included a call to prophecy, where Isaiah responded, "Here am I; send me," marking the beginning of his prophetic mission.
So in summary, the gift of prophecy is still active today and is a blessing to the church. But all prophecies must be carefully evaluated in light of the Bible. The prophetic gift is meant to point people to Christ and His eternal kingdom.
Prayer Point: "Lord, guide us in discerning Your truth and protecting us from false prophets."

Topic: REPORT OF CHRIST’S RESURRECTION
Text: John 20: 24-31
Memory Verse: “The other disciples therefore said unto him, we have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, except I shall see in His hands the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into His side, I will not believe” John 20:25
AFFIRMATION OF CHRIST’S RESURRECTION: John 20:24-27, Matt 28:5-10, 2 Tim 2:11-13.
The unbelief of Thomas was not justified. The resurrection of Christ was affirmed and attested to by the aged who spoke to the woman at the sepulcher. Thus, Thomas had no excuse. Christ had convinced them that He was the One and not a ghost nor spirit who appeared to them. He gave them the indisputable evidence, assurance that He rose from the dead. Thomas had no excuse because Christ had told them He would be killed and He would rise the third day.
Even if Thomas had not seen Him, the declaration of Christ, the very fact that He had said it ought to have made him believe. Hence, his faithlessness was inexcusable. When Christ revealed His death and resurrection to His disciples “…they were exceeding sorry’ because they were focused on His absence and not His resurrection.
The words of Christ are true. He rose again and it was not a secret resurrection or what others did not know. “He was seen of above five hundred brethren at once. Believing in the resurrection is very important. Unbelief and faithlessness are inexcusable.
FAITH IN CHRIST’S RESURRECTION: John 20:28,29; Rom 4:18-25, 2 Cor 4:18, 5:7
Thomas eventually became convinced, declared His faith and even called Christ his Lord and God. He believed He is the Lord and Son of God. That was what he confessed when the Lord showed Him evidence that He is Christ. He realized Christ is the “messenger of the covenant”. He was convicted and confirmed Jesus as His Lord and God.
As you think about the definition and description of real faith, true faith is to believe before you see. Every promise of God for your life will be fulfilled if you believe before you see. Do not walk by sight and do not change your mind on the promises of God because of what you see that are contrary. Live by faith and you will enjoy the fulfillment of God’s blessing upon your life.

JUDGMENT IS COMING
He that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy. Proverbs 29:1
Judgment against evil is not being quickly executed, instead of taking advantage of this to turn to God, most evil workers will remain adamant in their sins until calamity falls on them. God is merciful but mercy has an expiry date. We should not take God for granted. The fact is that wickedness does not pay and there is a day of reckoning for all acts of wickedness. There is a time of mercy and a time of judgment. We must seek for mercy at the time of mercy. Please don’t harden your heart. Don’t be deceived by the pleasures of sin.
If you trust and wait for God, your blessing will not fail. Judgment can come in different ways. Most addicted drunks have drank themselves to their early graces.
Every sin has its side effects. There is no secret thing you do that will not be exposed one day. It is better to expose yourself than to allow your sin expose you. We need a genuine change of heart. Let’s return to the Lord now that there is mercy.

The Power and Promise of the Church
Bible Reading: Matthew 16:13-20
"And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it" (Matthew 16:18, KJV).
Jesus makes a powerful declaration about the establishment and endurance of His church. This verse encapsulates the strength, foundation, and eternal promise of the church as envisioned by Christ. Jesus addresses Peter directly, saying, "Thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church." The name Peter means "rock," and while Peter himself plays a crucial role, the "rock" refers more significantly to the confession Peter made in verse 16: "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God." This foundational truth about Jesus’ divine identity and mission is the bedrock upon which the church is built. It emphasizes that the church's foundation is not a mere human leader but the acknowledgment of Jesus as the Messiah.
This promise signifies that the church will withstand all forces of evil and death. "The gates of hell" is a metaphor for the powers of darkness and death that oppose God's kingdom. Jesus' declaration assures us that no matter the challenges or opposition the church faces, it will not be overcome. This indestructibility is rooted in Christ's victory over sin and death, offering believers confidence and hope.
This power includes the power to bind and loose, reflecting the church's role in enacting God's will on earth. The church is called to spread the Gospel, make disciples, and stand as a beacon of light in a dark world. Believers are called to be active participants in building the church, grounded in the truth of Christ’s identity and empowered by His promise. This involves faith, commitment, and the willingness to engage in spiritual battles, knowing that victory is assured through Christ.
Prayer Point: "Lord, thank You for building Your church on the solid foundation of Jesus Christ. Strengthen us to stand firm against all opposition and faithfully fulfill our mission. Amen."

The Importance of Timeliness in Worship
Bible Reading: Hebrews 10:1-39
"…not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching."— Hebrews 10:25 (NIV)
Attending church on time is crucial for a meaningful worship experience. Hebrews 10:24-25 emphasizes the importance of meeting together to encourage one another and spur each other on toward love and good deeds.
Arriving at church promptly allows you to fully engage in the worship service from the beginning. The initial moments of a service often set the tone for worship, offering opportunities for prayer, reflection, and a heart-tuning into God’s presence.
In Acts 5:1-11, the story of Ananias and Sapphira highlights the seriousness of integrity in our worship practices. While their issue was deceit about their offering, Sapphira's untimely arrival underscores the broader principle of how tardiness can affect one's participation and transparency within the church community. Sapphira arrived late, not knowing what had transpired with her husband Ananias. Her delayed entrance contributed to her downfall because she was unaware of the confrontation that had already occurred. This tragic story reminds us that lateness can lead to a disconnection from crucial moments and messages within the church.
Habitual lateness can become a spiritual stumbling block, reflecting a lack of prioritizing worship and hindering spiritual growth. By making a conscious effort to arrive on time, you demonstrate a commitment to honoring God and the community. Missing even a small portion can mean missing out on what God has specifically prepared for you that day.
Closing Prayer: "Lord, grant me the discipline to arrive at church on time, honoring You and others. Amen."

Hearing God's Voice in Your Life
Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 3;1-21
"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me."— John 10:27 (NKJV)
Hearing from God is a vital aspect of a believer's relationship with Him. It involves discerning His voice amidst the noise of our everyday lives. Samuel’s experience in 1 Samuel 3 provides profound insights into recognizing and responding to God’s voice.
1. Spend Time in Scripture: God's primary way of speaking to us is through the Bible. Regular reading and meditation on Scripture help us understand His character and will. As 2 Timothy 3:16-17 explains, all Scripture is God-breathed and equips us for every good work.
2. Pray Consistently: Prayer is a dialogue with God, not just a monologue. Set aside dedicated time for prayer, making space for both speaking to God and listening. Jesus often withdrew to lonely places to pray (Luke 5:16), modeling the importance of seeking solitude to hear from God.
3. Be Still and Listen: In our fast-paced world, finding quiet moments can be challenging. Psalm 46:10 encourages us to be still and know that He is God. In these quiet moments, God often speaks to our hearts, providing guidance and comfort.
4. Seek Confirmation: God’s guidance will align with Scripture and His character. When you believe you’ve heard from God, seek confirmation through the Bible, prayer, and counsel from mature believers. Proverbs 11:14 highlights the value of wise counsel.
5. Obey Promptly: When you sense God’s direction, respond in obedience. Samuel responded, "Speak, for Your servant hears" (1 Samuel 3:10). Immediate obedience strengthens your ability to hear God's voice and builds your faith.
Hearing from God requires a heart tuned to His frequency through Scripture, prayer, stillness, and a readiness to obey. Trust that God desires to speak to you and guide you in every aspect of your life.
Prayer Point: "Lord, help me to hear Your voice clearly and follow Your guidance with faith and obedience. Amen."
